Dickerson is a pretty piss poor ambassador for the Rams. It seems to be all about him (shocker).
He doesn't realize that his voice isn't the only one. Not telling him to not give his opinion, but don't make it your purpose in life to whine about it, ED.

Mr Jheri Curls is talking about a soft look. Forgive me if I don't care at all what that old Colts player thinks.

Also, "he calls it like it is" is a great quality in your neighbor or co-worker but not so much for somone who is supposed to be a rambassador for your team.
He has always put himself before the Rams.
The idea of Rams fans saying "Gurley is dead to me" because of this shit he's said about the organization while always giving ED all the excuses is a little weird to me.

Anyone know if “uniforms” were as big of “topic” for the other Franchises that changed their uniforms this year?

Meaning... it has caused a lot of angst among Rams fans. It seems you love them, or hate them. The wedge in the middle is small...

Is that the same reaction the other franchises got? Or more a Rams thing because our change was pent up anticipation for years?

Another thought; it seems we have a take-sides-society when it comes to opinions these days. Is that part of why the divide seems large? Pick a side, so to speak.

And lastly... they say younger people like them, older not as much. I wonder how true that is? And... if the Rams factored that into the choosing?

Beginning to understand why fisher pulled his all access pass ... I thought part of being an ambassador was trying to promote who you are supposed to represent in a decent light ...Screw

But you are not being criticized. Ed is.

For real, y'all act like he has been good to the Rams.

The dude talks too much shit.
Always has.
Don't pretend this is about your opinion. Ripping the jerseys and logos is 90% of the posts of the last month and nobody has been persecuted over it.

The logos are trash. The unis are okay. Ed is a great RB but he makes Gurley look like the best teammate and friend of the Rams ever.

You honestly think Bruce thinks these are great jerseys and logos?
You think there aren't hundreds of former players who really don't like the new look?
I'm sure there are. They just have the class to not make it about them or insult the organization that they played for.

Its straight hypocrisy. Different rules for Ed.

Meaning did they think; what will make the younger fans happy and fuck what the old guys think ??? I hope that's not their end game...And I think there is a huge chasm between hate them and love them...I kind of think there might be more in the middle than is apparent because the choices are too limited using that system...

No matter what the change was going to be not everyone was going to like it. While the new change may be a little more modern than most like and I'd tweak a few things it's still pretty cool in general. I actually think some changes with a new stadium were needed.

I don’t believe they were, but the Rams have been talking about this since the move, vs other teams were just like “surprise!” so it makes sense. Plus after everyone else’s uniform were released, there was nothing else for us to talk about, so I think it grew the hype significantly among our fan base in comparison to others.

Everything is polarized these days it seems, it’s either 0 or 10. Star Wars, Uniforms, MCU, etc etc etc. Personally my theory is that we’ve become so accustomed to politicizing everything that now everyone automatically just picks the extreme to easily divide into their camps whenever there is any split opinion. It’s a strange, and very annoying trend, and one that’s hard to not fall into, even if you’re aware of it.

From what I’ve heard, definitely. Les mentioned that his teenagers are particularly jacked about the new uniforms, and they said that they spoke and consulted with the players quite a bit over this. They want the players to feel good in them, (feel good, play good) and was talking with them throughout.

Whitworth was someone Demoff spoke to lot about in terms of tradition at LSU and their thoughts of the uniforms, as well as Robert Woods with USC. Whitworth said some of the uniforms in the league make big guys “look like popsicles” and ours don’t, which he appreciates. Woods mentioned how his first three years with USC they had to wear grey gloves, white socks, and black cleats, but his senior year the program allowed them to wear cardinal cleats and gloves and they all got super excited about it. He said he told all of his friends he thought these new Rams jerseys are the coolest jerseys he’s ever worn, and he’s really exited to wear them.

They also talked to Troy Hill in terms of what it was like at Oregon with all the new Nike stuff, and he said they all loved it, and Oregon actually used it as a recruiting tool to get players to sign with them. Players have mentioned they think free agents might be inclined to play for the Rams based on our uniforms, so it sounds like guys like it a lot. Hill also said that all the uniforms dropping were underwhelming, but when he saw ours he loved them, immediately began thinking of different combinations and got exited to play in them.

The Rams are also sort of “focus testing” these in the sense of different combinations, and will be listening to feedback. Similar to them quietly moving to the Rams head more vs the LA logo, if we saw we want bone tops and yellow pants, we’re likely to get it, so good news there.

ED is a delusional dude. He still thinks his opinions matter and he still calls the Rams his team. If he were allowed to run the sidelines he'd be telling everyone what they're doing wrong. Oh wait he did that already.

I loved ED the football player. Hate ED the "sports announcer"

I love ED, my favorite Ram of all time. While he is entitled to his opinion on many subjects, I don't always have to agree with him. He is a voice for the hardcore 80's fan base. Remember, he wasn't the most enthusiastic STL Ram ambassador. Yeah he showed up, but his heart wasn't totally in it as far as I could see. But he has been another "fan" voice to the front office and many times his views were on the same page as many, many members of ROD. That said, I don't agree with his take on the uniforms. I respect his old school viewpoint but I won't bash him for it. I dig the new look. Again, it's been another 24 hours and each day I like them more. But opinions are like elbows and assholes......everyone has them! Go Rams!

While I don't read other message boards... I am surrounded by Tampon fans. That sad sack franchise has changed it's uniforms and logos a shit ton. They just released their newest uniform change right before ours. And guess what... none of them, including their talk radio shows said much about it at all. They're numb to the changes completely. They don't really give a fuck. Maybe it's because they change them so often,,, or maybe it's because their fanbase pretty much sucks. I submit that it's probably some of both with that team.

Back when the phins changed the Dolphin/logo on their helmet... there was a similar reaction to what I'm seeing here with our new changes. Some folks loved it... others screamed sacrilege. It was literally just like what we're seeing for ours with that fanbase.

The jag fans have always been the equivalent of limp noodles with their franchise. Even when they decided to make that super dramatic helmet change that was ridiculous on looks and functionality. That group of poor bastards didn't even have an opinion when that huge change was made. I was kinda surprised honestly. That teams current talk radio shows only bash the team's ownership and decision makers at this point. It's VERY bad. They call themselves the most dysfunctional team in the league... and a team that all of the players in the league want to avoid.

Tampon and Jax have made a regular practice of changing their gear as often as possible. I think that has to do with the fact that both of those franchises are bottom feeders as far as attendance and revenues. They are trying every gimmick in the book to try and generate revenue rather than focusing on trying to build a consistent winning culture.

Miami is different. They have a storied franchise even though they haven't done shit since Marino retired. Their fans have much more of a history and with that more traditions. Even though everybody knew they were tanking last year (especially their fans)... the new handicapped QB they just drafted has the best selling jersey in the league now over all other players. Their fans definitely have more options and pride in their team compared to the 2 other younger franchises here in FL.

I see the Dolphin fans and Ram Fans as being very similar. Their teams have longer histories and the fandom that has grown around all of that generates much more of a voice. It's real news when changes happen with franchises like these so you hear much more about it... people really care, and haters gotta throw shade with it. But when lame ass franchises change something... it's not real news... because nobody really gives a fuck one way or the other.

That's what I've witnessed 1st hand here in good ole F-L-A.

I tell you this much too.... I'm happy that my favorite team generates this much attention now. It proves that we are relevant in everyone's eyes.... both the fans and the haters.

Word, and the funny thing is that the majority of the feedback I've read absolutely despise logo/uni yet people here are acting hurt and thinking ED is just being contrarian.
