Must admit, if McVay could run some form of the RGIII offense with this kid it would be kinda exciting.

The kid has some major shortcomings. Mentally, he's not there yet. May never get there. But if he falls far enough, I'd certainly take my chances. Give him some time to learn, start him out with an offense that simplifies reads, and use his legs to compensate in the short term for the shortcomings in the passing game.

Jalen Hurts did not look good in his second season as a college starter. Even got benched for a true freshman Tua in the national title game. He eventually figured it out. Milroe may too. And if he does, he's an even better physical talent than Hurts.

Somebody who will know better than me, please help. Josh Simmons is listed at 310. Doesn't that feel light for a left tackle?

Former NFL Scout Bryan Broaddus has been told by a current scout that player #15 in this draft could have the same rating as player #50.
What exactly does that mean?
If the Rams select a guy at #26 who fits in that range, does it evoke jubilation or disappointment?

I’m not overly concerned at this point regarding the Rams first selection because of where he is ranked—whether it’s by one of us armchair GMs, or the “professional” armchair GMs. My concern is simply whether or not the Rams got a really good player. That sounds obvious, but ideally you want more than just a good player in the 1rst round, you want an above average starter. If the Rams can do that in a draft that supposedly has only 15 high end players, I’m good because I doubt the top 15 players from this draft are gonna be mostly comprised of the consensus top 15 and if the Rams select outside of that consensus there will be the predictable second guessing and low draft grades.

I took in light of draft strategy and the potential trades in the first round.

Teams may want to get up into the top 10 or 15 or so for a blue chip rated player and may find more difficultly in moving around in the latter half of the 1st round because so many red chip rated players are rated evenly.
