Going into the Whiners game I was concerned about our defense something fierce. NOW I really am. I can see the Bears pasting us ala' '19 Bucs. God I hope I'm wrong :(

I think they're better my dude, if the Niners had Bosa, Ford, Sherman, and Kwon Alexander then maybe not..

But Kalil Mack, Robert Quinn, Aikim Hicks, Roquan Smith, Trevathan, Kyle Fuller, Eddie Jackson...They got fucking studs everywhere and Roquan, Mack are HOF level talents.

2 of our last 3 games we struggled mightily to an average Giants D and an injured 49ers D. Goff missing throws when not under pressure..he will definitely be under more pressure this week.

In what world is Roquan a hall of fame talent? Good yes. Hall of fame? Please lol

Play mistake free football with no turnovers or costly penalties and we should be in good shape.

We need the second half team of the 49'ers game to show up, not the 1st half. We do that and we'll be fine.
IMO they just have to come out fired up and ready to dominate. We came out soft against SF and it cost us.
Once again 2nd half was 3 points..

Our second half D has been stellar. Just gotta stop this 1st half nonsense.

Cowboys- 3 pts
Eagles - 3pts
Giants -3 pts
Washington- 0 points
SF- 3 points

In five games that's a total of 12 second half points!

Forgot the Bills game. That’s another 14 pts. Still good though.

Great news is, this is a season defining game. Lose, and we can officially downgrade our expectations to miss the playoffs. Win and we're a playoff team more than likely.

Also good news - it's a good defense, which our offense needs to learn how to play against. I know that is sort of a conflicting statement, but I'm sick of our offense being shut down every time we play a top 10 D

Best news of all - I think we win something like 23-7 - were better on both sides of the ball, at home and PISSED

Foles has beaten the Rams 3 times (McVay twice). The Rams have never beaten Foles. Foles has also beaten the Rams' nemesis New England in a Super Bowl. He's got something over this team (so far) and extra motivation as a former Ram. He knows enough about this D to do that quick pass shit again. This may be the last chance to get him one final time before he retires.

As a guy who used to follow the Bears before making the decision of becoming a Rams fan, here’s my thought : :giggle:

They have one hell of a pass rush and one of the best safety in the league with Eddie Jackson in their secondary.
On the offense they are still a « meh » team imo, and they struggled to score some points against average teams this season.

The major threat of this team is the defense, the Oline will have to be ready as soon as the game start.
Fuller is a pretty solid CB and on the other side, their rookie CB Johnson is doing a good job also.

I think that we should test these DB and run the ball a bit less because their D against the run is pretty good, and to end this message i feel like Donald and our defense could be way more efficient because the Bears Oline is wayyy below the Niners Line.

Go Rams ! :shitlogo::fire:

I fear that we're in no position to downplay the quality of the Bears' defense. We are 19th in the league in ppg, and have the Bears (7th scoring defense), Dolphins (4th in scoring defense), and Bucs (8th in scoring defense) in the next 4 games. Only reprieve for our offense is Seattle.

If you look a bit deeper the physical defenses tend to give us the most probs too. So this game with the Bears is very important I think to put up some tape showing that they can get the dub after they get hit in the mouth (because the Bears will do that). The Rams, IMO, are sort of teetering offensively in that range where they almost look like they did last season.

IMO the biggest prob is the Rams' run game. Without that our wideouts are much more manageable for secondaries. Our offense is not going to be as explosive as years past but they may morph into a Pats type attack due to the way the pass pro has looked. It was really good vs SF. Good without the boots that they used to mask the line late last year.

On paper the Rams are a better team. The strength of the Bears is their defense. It's probably going to be a low scoring game for the Rams. Their defensive front will be as good as any the Ram o-line will face all season. Goff simply can't hold the ball. If it's not there he simply needs to throw it away. The Rams need to play a squeaky clean game on both sides of the ball.

My problem is that Foles is another Jimmy G type of QB who won't hesitate to simply play the dink and dunk game. This is the huge flaw in Staley's scheme. The way he plays the secondary he simply doesn't give the d-line a chance to get to the QB. The LBs play so far off the LOS they concede a minimum of 3-4 yards if the d-line doesn't stop the run. The Bears run attack is average.

If Staley was smart he would play a 5 man front with only one ILB and a nickel secondary. This will force them to keep their TE in to allow them to double block AD. Then Staley should do something he rarely does....he should stunt AD. Why he doesn't do it more is baffling. He simply allows the offense to double and triple AD. IN OTHER WORDS GET CREATIVE STALEY!!!!!!!! The Rams have no chance if Staley continues to play his vanilla defense. He must keep the game close by shutting down the pretty average Bear offense.
Offensively McVay should play a lot of 12 personnel to counter their defensive front. IMO Havenstein doesn't match up well in this game. He's definitely going to need help. Sean need to start using Mundt as a FB and simply attack the bear defense straight up with a power run game. Mack, Hicks and Smith are the heart of the Bear front 7. A strong inside run game will slow down that outside rush and will force Smith to play more inside.

I love the defense that Chuck and John Pagano play. They play the hybrid 3-4 the way it's supposed to be played. It's an aggressive, attacking scheme. To counter McVay must equal that aggressiveness. You come right at them because the Rams have better talent among their offensive skill players to match up with the Bears if they use them properly. Like any man coverage scheme a strong run game is the best counter.

Sean must not become one dimensional because the Bear D is too good if he does.

Rams don't have to beat Foles this week. They just need to play mistake free football and they will win.

We will know in the first series what we have on defense and what we have on offense. Need to keep Bears out of the end zone on their opening drive and need to move the ball effectively on offense on their opening drive. No more slow starts. That’s what best us both times.

The one thing I’ve learned about the McVay era is we know exactly what kind of game it’s going to be from the very first series. Being 29-0 while leading at the first half is a big indication on what kind of team we have.

I’d like to see what our record is when trailing at the half. Probably a lot different.

I am extremely worried after yesterday's blowout of the cowboys that were actually a very average team that just happened to play the leagues worst.

If I was a gambler I would put money on Chicago with that line. I see zero reason why we should be a 6 POINTS favorite against a 5-1 team, as suspect as it would be. The Bears beat bad teams, but the also beat the Bucs. We beat 4 bad teams and lost against the only two good ones.

I'm not saying we're terrible or that our season is done, but come on, 6 point line against Chicago ? I think it's ridiculous

I agree 100%

Nothing we've done states we are a great team. Beating bad teams is what an average team is supposed to do.

We have lost to every team with several wins and solid play under their belt.

If the same lame duck offense comes out again, we lose.
