McCoy & Tyson are available due to injury history, I am leaving them there and dealing with the regret if they pan out.
@Memphis Ram your 12 players make it very tough @13, If you have injury concerns like I do it leaves in my eyes this group as my top 3
Great question and top 12

Under this scenario if both McCoy and Tyson didn't pass muster medically, I think I'd change my guess to WR Omar Cooper Jr. for both me and the Rams.

BTW, not sure if you knew, but Mesidor will be 25 prior to draft day and from what I understand has had surgical procedures on both his feet.

What did you not like? I don't use the combine much myself to change my opinion on a guy unless there's a major surprise.
Admittedly, I'm a bit behind on watching all of Tates games, but, I went in with the assumption that he had good long speed. Honestly thought he'd be in the 4.4's. Ran 4.53 and called it a day, but I swear I saw that he did some other tests and ended up not impressive, but on NFL.com it shows he only did 40. Perhaps I misread it.

Did not know about the procedures, thank you
I do now that you mention it remember he is an older player. He was my reach out of my players. I really wouldn't hate a small trade down.
So much talent at positions of need and impact players alike.

Easy maybe if they tie up McVay and the team doesn't sign a veteran CB in free agency.
It seems like if we are weak in a position that they always pick somebody up in free agency and then duplicate that position with a rookie in the draft.
I'm guessing they don't want to count on the rookie to fill the void and want a veteran to make sure they plug that hole.
And we know that we can never have enough corners.

I like that he had the balls to run. But I think it demonstrates there isn't some vast divide among the wideouts. Tate's not some freak who is way ahead of the others. He's got size and skills which in combination put him damn high.

There will probably be a surprise pick or two among the wideouts for the fans who think the mocks they've been looking at are gospel. And there's always surprises but these wideouts are gonna be what flavor teams prefer. I'll bet they're all graded in rather big clumps this year.

I don't hate a trade down of 10 or less picks
There's so much good talent available in the top 3 rounds that if we could pick up a couple of those picks in a slight trade down from 13 with somebody who's wanting, I wouldn't be opposed to that move.
We could fill / improve several holes if this were to happen with the second or 3rd best available player at a couple of different positions.

Perhaps. But, when it comes to their first selection that's questionable. If reports are true Steve Avila, Jared Verse, and/or Terrance Ferguson wouldn't be Rams and they tried to trade up for other offensive players in each of those draft classes despite needs elsewhere.

Draft Day 2026 goes like the following:

1. Raiders - Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana
2. Jets - Arvell Reese, EDGE/LB, Ohio State
3. Cardinals - Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami
4. Titans - Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State
5. Giants - Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State
6. Browns - Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia
7. Commodes - David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech
8. Saints - Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame
9. Chiefs - Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
10. Bengals - Rueben Bain, EDGE, Miami
11. Dolphins - Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State
12. Cowboys - Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU

Phone isn't ringing and no one wants to trade up.

TWO QUESTIONS

Who would you take?
Who do you think the Rams would take?

Ty Simpson
Omar Cooper Jr.

Yeah I didn't necessarily mean the first pick we have in the draft.
Hopefully they're taking the best player available in the first couple rounds.
Reaching for need that early, is never a good idea in my opinion.

McCoy if he passes the medicals. I like his size at the position. Could be a Jalen Ramsey type with both cover and tackling ability. At 29 Dillon Thieneman is growing on me. He's got the speed and agility to be a good center fielder in that system ala Earl Thomas. But we aren't hurting at safety like we are at corner.

IMO....

Too small, injury prone and an average tackler

If the Rams are going to take the best skill player who fits their system and adds speed and big play ability that they could plug right in?
Makai Lemon makes a whole lot of sense. I'm not convinced it's a bad idea either.

Jordyn Tyson or McCoy if we didn't improve our secondary. I'd lean more towards the WR though as Adams is getting up there in age and Puka plays a brand of ball that is tough.
