I actually thought he had found a spot as Chip's 'GO FOR TWO' guy. I didn't ever see them try to emulate that old jump throw Florida used to run.
 
I was wrong thought they would keep him for an added dimension, oh well, back to the broadcast booth for the boy wonder!
 
watching NFLN the other night and Brian Billick made a statement " how many different organizations are going to have to tell this kid he doesnt have what it takes to play in the NFL before he gets the hint"

I chuckled a bit at that

He made the final 53. ... but the Eagles went down to 52.

Eagles are looking to get back to 3 QB's. Watching for Ponder or RGIII to get the short haircut.

He struggled as the two point guy in preseason.

It didn't seem like they did anything more than just direct, from shotgun, sneaks. Every time I saw him line up for two I thought 'well Chip must have some stuff he is preserving' - maybe Chip was just trying things out early.

I don't really need Tebow in the news anyhow. . .

Tim Tebow was playing football for the Philadelphia Eagles last week, but was released during last weekend’s final cutdowns.

This weekend, he’ll be back on TV talking about football. The ESPN-owned SEC Network announced Wednesday that Tebow will be back on SEC Nation, its traveling pregame show, this Saturday. Greg McElroy, another former NFL quarterback, had been holding Tebow’s seat while he gave the NFL what may be his last try.

Most thought Tebow was done playing last year, when he spent the season working for SEC Network, but he signed with the Eagles last April. He threw two touchdown passes and ran for another in the preseason for the Eagles, who initially kept two quarterbacks and added a third following the release of Tebow and trade of Matt Barkley last weekend.

Tebow last played two regular-season games for the Jets in 2012. He signed a three-year deal with ESPN in Dec. 2013 that did not preclude him from continuing to pursue his NFL career.
