Time for Rochell & Long....Most will think it's Rochell's time plus I'm sure the Rams will add another CB during the draft, but I felt Long improved after a horrendous game in week 4 against Arizona. I know the Rams kept Jonathan Cooley as the new Secondary Coach anxious to see who his assistant is, but hopefully Rochell is more durable and Long continues to improve plus there are some others in Tyler Hall & Kareem Orr too.

Agree- wonder about DD21? He showed leadership as a young player.
He size is his biggest issue.

The new DB or CB coach is going to be important.Pleasant & Evero we’re both excellent DB coach’s

I'm the same way. Haha.

I don’t know? You’ve questioned The Rams for years.I don’t know exactly your thoughts on things though,so
not calling you out.

IMO- The Rams have a system in place & I think even more so they will work with the Youth & build within. There will be veteran players
The Rams can find throughout a season.

I guess my question to you would be your biggest concern ?

Not sure on Deayon, like you communicated, his size limits him IMHO. Jonathan Cooley will be the new Secondary Coach, in fact, the Vikings wanted him bad because it was Cooley's scheme during post season that was adopted, but the Rams blocked that hire to promote him obviously with the loss of Evero to Denver, so I like Coach Cooley and feel good about the secondary moving forward, but I am anxious to see who his assistant will be.

Oh yeah, I always question things. And always will. So, I don't take offense to that.

My biggest concerns? ILB next to Jones. Howard is solid, but we can be better.

EDGE - I REALLY like Floyd, and Hollins is solid, but we can be better. I like Lewis but the guy has chronic issues in his knee it seems that will prohibit him.

CB - Rochelle is solid and young, but a project. Needs more time. David Long is as streaky as Troy Hill was. Could use improvement there.

S - Nick Scott is solid. Jordan Fuller took a step back last year, and Rapp is so inconsistent. It says a lot that 2 year retired Eric Weddle came in and our Defense really improved.

LG - No known commodity there. Stafford has been beat up his whole career. I don't want to go cheap and watch him get beaten into the dirt with his wear and tear as we did a few years ago with Goff.

Backup RB - I like Hendo, but he has durability concerns. I'd like a bruiser.

If you look back from a few years ago The Rams we’re worse upfront. The signing on Allen,Coleman, & Noteboom are perfect examples of what The Rams are about.

Being an Iowa guy AJ Jackson should make you excited about his NFL Future.

How luck or good are The Rams & Les Snead finding these types of players?
This kid AJ Jackson is a perfect example of developing a UDRFA.
Look at the comp picks for these guys.

I have a list of examples & the list just keeps getting longer.I’ll start by
Les Snead & Fisher cutting Brown & Jones.A kicker & punter respectively & these 2 players were The Rams best players sadly jokingly.Snead drafts(6th,rd.) Greg the Leg & Johnny was a UDRFA who became All Pro’s.
Last season Snead trades a Punter & Matt Gay became a All Pro Kicker.

Bones was not apart of the 2nd part & I didn’t like the drafting of that rookie that rookie kicker in 2020.Him being the starter cost The Rams a couple games. It’s not always perfect, but finding Matt Gay was how The Rams always work through there team roster process.

Sean Mcvay has been GREAT at that.

This is a good draft year for later rounds.

We should see quite a few quality players drop to us in the sixth round even (some could be considered 4th round players in some drafts)

And Snead is extremely good at finding diamonds in the rough in the sixth round.

The Rams are very short on outside corners. Gambled last season that Ramsey & his crew would remain healthy, did not work out all that well. DW has a rough dinged-up season & had a ton of just plain bad games in comparison to 2020 when he was healthy.

Bad luck for the Rams too because DW 2021 season played a major role in why Snead will only get a 5th rd comp selection award in the 2023 draft. If DW's season in 2021 was like 2020 Snead would be looking easily at a 4th rd pick award.

Snead's operation got a wet blanket thrown on it with the DW final outcome with this signing in Jax...one, in just how bad DW's performance was in 2021 after giving DW the highest tender to play in 2021 & two, the small size contract offered that was far below what was expected.

Another element of bad luck in the 2021 DB unit was when Rookie Robert Rochell spent most all training camp, preseason & regular season unhealthy from two different injuries. Rams have to be questioning RR's durability & dependability at this point I know I am. If RR can finally get 2022 offseason, OTA's/TC & preseason under his belt in order to be prepared to start @ that opposite outside Corner position then Morris might have a decent year.

But one might say that Snead had no way of knowing that he would get almost zero from Robert Rochell & DW in 2021 because of injuries was it was a double blow to his team. Yes you could. I would expect that Snead will have a written diary of all his heartburn over the corner 2021 issues & will fight hard to ensure that is not repeated.

David Long is a starting Nickle nothing more. The reason DL seemed to play better later in the season was that DW was healthy enough to play the outside corner post leaving DL in the Nickle post. I see where many here are praising DL. I do NOT believe that DL is a decent starting outside corner because he is NOT.

Snead does have 3 CB JAGS :yawn:signed at the moment in Orr, Haley & Hall. All of them UDFA's. Between these 3 they have been cut 13 times. Demoted from the regular roster to PS over two dozen times. None of the 3 remotely looked like they have anything to offer but agony:scream: when asked to perform on the field of play.

Snead must draft an outside corner ASAP with their top 2 selections & then draft another corner late Saturday afternoon just to keep up to par with the other NFL's CB units. Big concerns here @ CB.

Here we go again,The Rams will need a New Punter. I know he was happy he won a SuperBowl Ring after all those years as a Ram.Some how there were reporters saying Havenstien was the longest tenured Ram.
Anyway I was wanting The Rams to cut Johnny last season, but he meant to much to The Rams organization & Family. He was just a solid guy all around. He did cost me some Big Cash with the dropping of the extra point of all things.

Except you did call him out. So owning that shit is better than acting all passive-aggressive like you didn't.

As far as posters are concerned... From my perspective never questioning the Rams doesn't really make for interesting discourse. If we were all like that there wouldn't be shit to talk about.

There's no doubt that they've found gems. But I don't want them to get reliant on finding gems. Because if doesn't always happen. I'm certainly excited for Alaric Jackson, and voiced that last year. Hell, he could play LG, and always thought he'd project to G in the NFL.

The things that worry me are what I voiced in my previous response. I DON'T WANT to become dependent and reliable on late round and UDFA gems.

And as I said, it's pretty telling of our DBs that a 2 year retired S in Weddle came out of retirement and really heightened the play of our back end. I like Scott, I like Fuller, and I tolerate Rapp. But we need to improve one of the spots, and add more to CB. Preferred to add size also.

Also, EDGE, I like Hollins as a situational guy, but wouldn't feel completely comfortable with him starting. Also, TLewis simply has health issues, chronically. And ILB next to Jones worries me. THoward is solid but against power running teams could be a liability.

Far enough, but the record’s do speak for themselves. Is AD retiring?

The Raheem Morris BS sort of sucked & upsetting thread.Just glad he got the last laugh 4all the Haters.

I wonder if Sean Mcvay left who would be The Rams HC? I’d say the above name probably would have been offered the HC position? I just know the realationships he has built.

Whatever though I never liked the Brian Allen draft pick.Brian Allen resigning though I think is a good signing.move.Then again I still have doubts..

Maybe The Rams bring Clay Matthews out of retirement? Lol

A Jack imo is like Noteboom playing guard & probably more so.He is long & linky. Then again ?

I like RR31 & think he is going to be a special player. He has everything to be a cover CB & a better upside than D.Williams.

T. Rapp I just don’t like because of how many mistakes he has made.I guess I have to watch the SuperBowl though.Eric Weedle was hurt t early .

T.Burgees was going to be that FS.Jake Gervase another Iowa guy you should like? Those types of players like that seem to strive under Sean Mcvay &!The Rams.

Clay Matthews, what a guy he turned out to be. Haha.

I like RR31 too, but still wouldn't mind a veteran CB like a Gillmore to come in and help teach him the ropes and giving him some more time to develop.

Weddle was hurt early in the SB and still made a bigger impact than Rapp has his whole career here.

Noteboom could play G maybe, but I like the mean, maulers at G and he doesn't strike me as that guy.

Morris deserved the questions he received around here. He had a lot to prove last season. There were some who were hating on the guy but outside of that I think most of the concerns were fair.

I'm eager to see how he evolves into year two of putting his stamp on this defense. Also eager to see if the Rams can find a couple bargain basement vets to round out the OLB and CB rooms. Thinking they add Fowler for example but we'll see.

And I hope the draft focuses on defense. Morris had a loaded unit last season but this year he's going to be able to shape more of the roster.

I’ll totally disagree & to blame him was freaking silly around here.Questioning is another thing. He didn’t always make the right calls & have the best game plans.
Raheem Morris is & was a perfect fit for The Rams.I in fact was extremely happy Staley went to SD.Who he might have a Top Defense there.I just think Morris is the better coach.
Either way I also think he does a good job at finding players & talent.
This season having Olsen & Cohen is
going to be WAY better than Kevin O’Connell as OC. My hope is if not that Ram Fans will pay Cohen all that Hate, Morris received last season.

Freaking funny The Rams win the SuperBowl with Raheem Morris as the DC. I liked that stat for all the doubters & Haters.
