Though he doesn't block, I love the talent. But from what I understand there are character issues.

Issues at Baylor and Ole Miss. Doubtful he'll even be on the Rams draft board.
Don't agree on blocking. He needs work as a blocker, but he's willing to do it. Though, I wish he had more of a "bury him" mentality. Haven't heard about the character issues.

Only "issue" I've read on Trigg was that he got into an argument with the AD on the sideline of a game but nothing else ever came of it. Guys squeaky clean and even has been praised for his leadership and growth.

He left the Ole Miss team after a few games in 2023, so there might be something to what Memphis is saying.

Something happened at Ole Miss and he got kicked off the team and former scout Bryan Broaddus mentioned other issues at Baylor on one of his shows.

I read that Baylor wouldn't let him speak to the media, which is a red flag. Might be maturity issues. Regardless, the talent level is enough that I'd dig deeper before writing him off if I were the Rams. If he's a headcase but willing to work hard, that's sometimes the cost of doing business in the NFL.

Both have interesting possibilities for the Rams. Snead will have a good track on Triggs coming out of Baylor. I like his hands and length to make covered catches. Sadiq's quickness for a big man is impressive. Whoever has the better downfield ability is what I want to see the Rams go for.

All I could find on Trigg so far.

Suspended first half of week two game for disciplinary reasons in 2023 - Ole Miss
Cited for missed practices after being medically cleared from injury led to Ole Miss dismissal
Suspended for one game vs. BYU for undisclosed disciplinary reasons - 2024 Baylor
Got into heated altercation with Baylor AD for wearing a gold undershirt - 2025 Baylor

Roush has good hands but after the catch I don’t know if he looks elite level up IMO.

Impressive. Fucking HUGE mitts and long arms. I like how he owns that football.

I've said for a while now that with all the negativity about this draft, I think there are some real gems out there to be had. I don't think his QB is too shabby either.
I posted about him a month ago. He is intriguing. Fits the big play TE role. Not sure how good of a blocker he is. More like a big WR.

What I like about Roush is he’s like having another OL. As a day 3 pick and 3rd TE, he’s a great add. Come in on short yardage / goal line plays. Another OL to hammer….or can slid out on the play action for a short yardage move the chains.

What about his production worries you? He led his team in catches and tds. Oregon spreads the ball around a lot it’s wasn’t a team that was going to force feed a guy the ball.
Yeah, seems he was kind of like Davante Adams in terms of being their designated redzone guy.

I have advocated for taking Kenyon Sidiq on many different threads for weeks now. This article sums up all the reasons very well. I know they need a DB, and in this draft one can be acquired with pick #29. I don't believe all the Ty Simpson chatter; if they come out of the first round with Sidiq and a great young DB it's a home run.
I really like the kid and he's a hell of a prospect. But, IMO, Ferguson has a ton of potential to be really good as well. And, with the needs of the team and the talent at CB and probably WR that will be available, it would be a mistake to take him at 13.

Now, if he were to fall into the 20's then trading up I could see. But just not at 13.

He's a solid kid, but don't know that he'll be there on Day 3. The good news is that there are some other good TEs that will be available on Day 3. This draft has a good bit of depth at that position.

Sadiq ran a 4.39 last week. Imagine him vs a LB on a crosser or wheel route. Ferguson got opened multiple times last year. Sadiq will be great downfield. If the Niners get him I'll be depressed for 12 years.

Still a fan of Jack Endries from Texas. Catches everything and moves well for 6'5" 245 lbs. Not the best blocker will have to work on that but doesn't just give up on it.

It's the physicality / blocking that impresses me the most about Sadiq. That physicality has to be accounted for by the defense. But, physicality AND speed from someone capable of lining up all over the formation?? Matchup NIGHTMARE, IMO.

I envision play action plays where he could line up at FB or H-Back or just motioning in from the slot and second level defenders brace for a physical block and he runs right by them. Touchdown.

Man to man coverage and he motions out wide of a WR and a LB follows him? Most LBs are going to have to have help over the top opening things up for others.

A TE screen with someone that can actually run with some juice?

Imo, that Jet motion they tried with Ferguson would actually work with Sadiq. He's run it at Oregon.

I believe that McVay had Vernon Davis & Jordan Reed on the same team at one point so there's some hope. But, if he really has an open door for Higbee it's probably just a pipe dream.

Oh well. But I agree. Shanahan would probably even use him by mixing in some of the plays he has for Juszczyk and most teams would struggle stopping him. I believe Asshole Face would get the most out of him, too.

Definetley not elite but solid and won't cost a lot of draft capitol. I would rather add to our weakest groups and then booster our groups that could use some depth.
We will likely grab a TE in FA orthe draft and I would rather not do it with any of ourfirst 4 picks.
We don't need elite at TE in my eyes

Thank you so much for explaining in detail all the uses that McVay would get from him. I was thinking of him in an H-back role as well. Just think of a lineup with he and Ferguson with Puka and Adams. TRY - JUST TRY TO COVER THEM ALL.
