It’s absurd to think Gurley is just going to fall into oblivion. This whole arthritis thing has gone way too far. It will affect him later in his career, yes. But to think a 25 year old world class athlete can’t manage a little pain and still be productive is a bad line of thinking. He will still get 250 carries(15 carries per game). Sure, his TD numbers might drop off. But only because they’ve been insanely high the last two seasons and that’s difficult to replicate every year.

The point is, if Gurley is there at 5, you fucking run with your pants down to the board and draft him.

Yeah but it would be better if he traded down a bit and took him a few picks later. Maybe send an offer to the guy at #8 or #9 to swap 1st and 2nd round picks. That way he can still probably get Gurley and get a better player in the 2nd round.

I got invited to partake in the Fantasy
Never done it before
I am replacing the guy who cane dead last so I have the #1 pick - that means I am picking the Barkley kid from the NY Giants.

Still not sure how this works.....
There are 20 players and it’s an S draft....

Look at the way the scoring rules are set up before you stack your board, that's something I have overlooked a couple times in the past. Then adjust things from there. If you go RB at the top then you gotta be smart with your QB and depending on how sharp the other players are you might still be able to snag a good signal caller.

I suspect Darnold is going to be a fantasy surprise this year. Look hard at the QBs who might arrive this year, they're a better way to go IMO than a pedestrian type who is going to cost you games vs the better rosters. Oh and pay attention to bye weeks.

Headlined by a Terrific Backfield, Feral Hog Dilemma Have a Stacked Squad

Draft Summary
Having the top pick in the draft doesn't always lead to a championship-caliber squad. But it very well could in this case. Feral Hog Dilemma did what professional fantasy footballers do when they land the No. 1 overall pick. They put together a juggernaut. The team is particularly strong at running back, as Saquon Barkley and Leonard Fournette are expected to combine for the highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league. Feral Hog Dilemma are projected to finish in first place in first down football league with a mark of 12-2 (3,076 points).

Vance McDonald

Biggest Steal
Feral Hog Dilemma netted a nice late-round bargain with the selection of McDonald in the 10th round, about 14 picks later than his ADP of 86. Following a season in which he had 50 receptions for 610 yards and 4 TDs, totaling 133 fantasy points, McDonald is projected to score 186 fantasy points with the Steelers. That makes him a valuable No. 1 TE for this squad.

Leonard Fournette

Stretch Pick
We're going to give you a little bit of credit and assume you took the dog out right before the selection of Fournette at No. 21, about 14 picks earlier than his ADP of 35. Granted, you may be onto something? Projected to score 507 fantasy points this season with the Jaguars, he seems poised to outperform last year when he rushed for 439 yards and 5 TDs and grabbed 22 balls for 185 yards and 1 TD over 8 games to post 253 fantasy points. According to projections, Fournette will slot in as the No. 2 RB for Feral Hog Dilemma to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • With only three quarterbacks off the board, Feral Hog Dilemma saw a run coming and got in early, taking Baker Mayfield with the 1st pick in the 7th round. In the round that followed, three more quarterbacks were snatched up.
  • Week 9 could bring on a case of the Bye Week Blues for Feral Hog Dilemma, as they have four players on a bye (Devonta Freeman, Los Angeles, Robert Woods, and A.J. Green). Fishheads, your Week 9 opponent, won't be quite as limited with only two players (Alvin Kamara and Wil Lutz) on a bye.
  • With a strength of schedule rated as the 3rd-easiest according to projected records, Feral Hog Dilemma face one of the least challenging schedules in first down football league this season.
  • Feral Hog Dilemma seem to be counting on youthful exuberance, putting together a lineup with an average of 3.9 years of NFL experience, ranking as the 2nd-youngest group in the league. Driving home that point, they selected one rookie (Darwin Thompson). In total, there were 11 rookies selected over the course of the first down football league draft.

Looks good. Hope Giants can get close to the RedZone for Barkley to get TDs. Like Fournette if he stays healthy but, you got Freeman and Michel as backups. Great one-two punch with Woods and JuJu at WR. Could use another TE for backup. Good Luck.

He missed a lot of time last year and Rams were pretty close lipped as to what the cause was. In my opinion I'd roll with Zeke, obviously not Gordon. But that's only because Zeke has been consistently been healthy.

The best thing the media did this offseason is lower Gurley and Goffs fantasy stock! Gurley at 10 is a steal!

Draft day and I'm still in the same place. Looking like zeke drops to me at 4. Was set to take him until this mormings news that jerry is frustrated. If he was 100% set to sign I was taking him.
No interest from other teams on trading down with in my league.

If nothing positive on Zeke breaks by 5:00 I'm taking TG and calling it a day.

I’m not saying take Zeke over Gurley, but Elliott will be there soon.

I can’t see Jerry putting the start of the season even more at risk. They’ll hammer something out, Jerry just doesn’t like it.

I drafted Goff in rd 9 in a league last week.
giphy.gif

I got him round 3 in a 10 man mock. Drafted Zeke 4th, which I really wasn't big on, but he was there and I figured he might be back, and the drop off from 4 to 5, I didn't want to risk it.. He's listed as out for game 1, so the Cowgirls better fix their shit soon.

I got Goff super late, Mayfield is my week 1 starter because the Titans suck, but I'll likely be starting Goff over him more weeks than not.

I got Robert Woods, but couldn't get any other Rams receiver, a guy took Kupp super early. Wanted Henderson for a bench guy but he was snagged away as well. I did grab Everett for my bench though.

I laughed when I got Gurley in the first round though. When Zeke come back by 1-2 punch of Gurley and Zeke will hopefully win me a lot of games. Especially if Goff is lighting things up.

Took Zeke as I got Gurley at 5 in my little league. May regret not taking TG but I got Kupp in the 4th and Rams Def and Greg the leg. Also got Malcolm in the 11th to back up TG in case he goes down.

If he's there tonight in my last draft I'll take him for sure.

The only pick I did not liek if Fournette in the third. I like Freeman and Michel better than hi, I would trade him for another WR or an upgrade at TE.
