Guys, need some help eliminating my Ram allegiance in my fantasy draft. I have been playing fantasy for 30 years and know what I am doing. I have the #4 pick in my 14 team league which is mostly a TD league. He was #1 pick last year and that team won the league. While I understand he will have some or his work load trimmed, I still believe (in my heart lol) that he will still be a top 2-3 back in fantasy. Do I draft Gurley at 4 especially if Elliott doesn't sign? My heart says yes obviously and my head kinda says yes as he may still put up 12+TD's.
Thoughts please?

I've thought about that. I think that he will lose maybe 1 or 2 series a game depending on the situations. His training camp is not too much different than before. He's the same back. He'll be in the top 5. If you're picking at 4, some of your decisions will already be made for you. If you were going to take a back anyway, why not. In my mocks so far, he's going late 1st or early 2nd. I think the media is making more of it than there really is. At the end of last season, his knee had gotten worse. They're trying to avoid that this year. But early on, he's the same guy.

If you draft today, I'd just take Elliott there. If you are drafting in two weeks and Elliott is still in Mexico, I'd say Gurley is in play there. Adams and Hopkins are safer picks, but as a Rams fan, I'd have no issue with getting your guy. As long as Gurley still finishes as a top 10 RB, you'll be fine. There was awhile that it looked like he could even make it back to pick 21, but that's long gone. I see him going in the late first quite a bit.

Who knows but my guess is he will see a considerable drop in his usage during the regular season. I would avoid using a very high pick on him, my targeted range would be that second tier right after the money types.

Yeah that's how I see it with Zeke. If Zeke signs I think he goes top2 and its probably Kamara or TG for me. My league is RB centric so most everyone in top 7-8 take a RB in rd 1.

Those are my thoughts. If Zekes unsigned it should go McCaffrey, Saquan, Kamara in any order. So then it's DJ, Bell in mocks at RB so I would jump on TG there. I realize late in season which are fantasy playoffs he may rest more if we have a lead in division but I can't think that far ahead as you have to get there first. Last yearthe #1 pick won the league without TG in playoffs and in my other league I had #1 pick and took TG and lost in Supe without TG.

No PPR - TD league with 1 pt every 25 yards and 3 more at 100

Then I think TG is a pretty good pick at 4. I think he will be our goal line back no matter what. CMC is apparently going to be spelled more. Barkley will be gone. Lev Bell would be tempting if there at 4.

I am a Rams homer also but at 4. With a chance of Kamara, zeke or Hopkins being there I would have to pass on Gurley and hope that people are scared off and he comes back around

14 team league - non PPR. Either he takes him at 4 or he loses him.

I’d take him.

I always take a rookie RB at some point too in my fantasy drafts because they offer some serious bang for the buck (when they're not a high profile type but might start or get big snaps). So if I were playing fantasy this year I would definitely snap up Henderson at some point and stash him on my roster.

If Henderson is gone then I'd be lookin at Justice Hill, who might get a lot of focus in a ground-heavy offense that will bring short passing, screens, and swing passes. Montgomery (Bears) is interesting too, but like with Harris (Pats) you just don't know how much involvement he'll get in the offense.

I usually stay away from Rams, but I won the title last year and drew the last pick in the snake draft and if the 11 fine gentlemen pass on the Midnight train from Georgia, I will pounce and draft Malcolm Brown as a handcuff.

First you have to come back tot he thread and tell us how it went down. Your pick and where Gurley went at least.
That is a lot of teams in a draft.

Can you trade picks, move down and take Gurley later?

Could get him later but, I think he gets 12 or more TDs and 1200 yard plus passing yards.

Funny you said that. I'm fishing around with my son at 7 to see if he would want Kamara if I take him at 4 and then he drafts gurley at 7 and we swap and then we swap picks in the second fourth and sixth rounds so I move up in those rounds. Only problem with that is if nephew at 5 takes gurley but so what I end up with kamara. Fun times as draft approaches.

Don't over think it. Todd Gurley would be the #1 pick again if it weren't for all the rumors. If you get him @ 5, or later if others pass on him, you take him.

I'm staying away from both holdouts. It's Saquon, CMC, Alvin, David Johnson, TGII, in that order.

So he scores 11 TDs instead of 17? Big deal. Most of these other RBs will get about the same. Take him, then take Darrell Henderson and/or Malcom Brown for insurance later. Boom. Championship.

I'd take Gurley that low in a TD league. He is the Rams best red zone option and they get in the red zone a lot.

I wish you would step back from that ledge my friend.

In my opinion you probably need to cut ties with all the lies that you have been living in.

And if you don’t want me to post about this again, I would understand.
