I'm really excited to hear my fellow posters answersI believe he was next on the Rams draft board before the Giants grabbed him one pick before STL.
How were they not competitive? We lost by 10 and the score could have easily been reversed were it not for a few ill-timed plays. I don't get how when there's a fight, the whole philosophy of the team gets called into question. When we punk teams and knock their players out of the game, it's cool because we win (Denver, WASH). But when we do the exact same thing and lose, then it's a stupid philosophy. No one is saying be nice. But if you're gonna talk big and get chippy, be competitive. You look like an idiot when you're jawing with a guy after he ran through your entire team. You wanna talk big? Stop them! AND THEN get mouthy. That's why this is embarrassing. We didn't even intimidate them with all of that false bravado. They came right back to the line of scrimmage and kicked our asses. Every. Single. Play.

This is for perspective purposes only. A lot of people have a new distaste for the guy but I wanna know if they would accept him in horns. It would be a moot point either way. Rams would have had to trade up to get him. The fire doesn't need any fuel right now.
11 penalties...2 players officially ejected....one kicker who mule kicked a dude....mmhmm not trying to get on my soapbox...but the giants are playing borderline dirty
Hypothetically speaking, but if a fellow member said yes, I am pretty sure you would offer up some kind of "but you just said blah blah blah" which in turn would start another debate which isn't really needed here right now. This is for perspective purposes only. A third of their penalties were for holding Quinn, the melee on the sideline was precipitated by a late hit so far out of bounds Ogletree probably should have been ejected, and FWIW they didn't come into OUR bench area,we went into theirs .
I don't hold the Giants harmless but the Rams didn't play in a way I can condone, that's all I need to know.
We played stupid
Happy holidays!Hypothetically speaking, but if a fellow member said yes, I am pretty sure you would offer up some kind of "but you just said blah blah blah" which in turn would start another debate which isn't really needed here right now.
Done with this thread...Merry Christmas to all
My point exactly! I believe the Giants broke a record of their own of penalty yards, PI's, and over all penalties in a game or close to a record. Those guys were being douchebags from the opening kick off. Period.Let's see who had the most "stupid" penalties in this game, shall we?

Answer to that is yes but we aren't talking about hypotheticals. We are talking about what actually happened yesterday and the guy is a mouthy douchebag that got his yesterday for running his gums. Here's my question to all complaining about Odell, would you want him on this team?

Why do you insist on making points for my posts that I'm absolutely not making? I was addressing the assertion that the Rams were playing dirty for seemingly the entire game. They had one ejection that wasn't warranted due to a fight initiated by the Giants, one ticky-tack roughing the passer call, and one taunting call. To illustrate what IS dirty play, I listed the 7 calls on the Giants to go along with their 2 ejections. It's called comparison contrast.Oh goodie. They were worse than we were.
Who's doing that?I am just dumbfounded at the number of posters sticking up for the Rams' performance yesterday for seemingly no other reason than...'we proved we're not pussies'.
So? Would it be the first time a coach got waxed by another team? (if you consider losing by 10 points getting waxed)Hello!!! They gave up 500+ yards....the most a Jeff Fisher coached Rams team has allowed...in, IMO, the most undisciplined game they've ever played under Fisher. Go figure.
Detroit has nine fewer penalties on the year than the Rams. Nine. The Rams' strength of schedule ranks 10th hardest. Lions, the 26th hardest. The Lions have their starting QB. The Rams don't. Like I said, when we win, it's a non-issue. When we lose, it's the end of the world. It wouldn't be hard to make an analogy between the current Rams' D and the Detroit Lions D of the last couple years...who were tremendously undisciplined, made numerous dumb mistakes, and frequently cost their team big time with that undisciplined, mistake prone play. But Jim Caldwell comes in this year and eliminates that silly nonsense and as it stands as of today, they're the #2 seed in the playoffs. Go figure #2.
Damn right. But hey, we made fewer stupid mistakes than they did proved we're not pussies doing it. Right on.
That's pretty much the way I saw it. It was the Other Dick, I wanted put my foot through the TV!I was impressed with Deil. He didn't show much favoritism.
I thought I was the only-one that noticed that! The moron obviously doesn't watch the Rams and he kept saying the Rams won 3 in a row
Unfortunately, the announcers talked about how the Rams are now known for this kind of thing. The philosophy, which Fisher has always employed, is personified by Cortland Finnegan. It's crap tactics and I don't like it at all. For all the talk of Fisher being on the competition committee and being respected, I think he's the head coaching equivalent of a message board troll. His respectable act is just that, an act. Behind the scenes, he's instructing these guys to play dirty and act innocent.[/QUOTE
] Prove it!!
You make me have a flash-back, and want to see Night-Train Lane, and Deacon Jones Play again, Before certain rule changes!! Night-Train LOVED ripping heads off, and Deacon, well, was Deacon Head-Slap and all, He would give you a look that would make you want to Run away calling "MOMMY!" while you peed yourself!! Some people would call them "Dirty" Today! NOT ME!It isn't either/or. A team can play fierce defense without running their mouths and playing dirty.
Do you condone late hits 5 yards out of bounds? Talking smack and not backing it up? Cuz that's what we're talking about. You make me have a flash-back, and want to see Night-Train Lane, and Deacon Jones Play again, Before certain rule changes!! They weren't 5 yards out when it all started! Everyone talks smack! And as far as not backing it up .. IF they Try to .. I'm OK with it! They gave the effort! Look at the stats, if not for a couple of plays, the Rams WIN!Do you condone late hits 5 yards out of bounds? Talking smack and not backing it up? Cuz that's what we're talking about.
