Don’t look now, but I’m sensing a ‘new’ Sean McVay this offseason…

Saying something isn’t a story when, in fact (not in opinion), it’s a real story is neither opinion or statement of fact.
That’s not what “non-story” means in the context I used the term. It means it is ceased being important to me once McVay made his decision (hence, my lack of interest in its rehashing by the media since McVay announced he is staying).

That is an opinion. Your contrary view is likewise an opinion.

Okie dokie.

That reasonable answer doesn't fit in with your previous responses, in my opinion, and I can leave it at that.

Felt like bumping this instead of starting a new topic... (see what I did there?)

This post was made in mid-Summer and is looking GREAT right now.

I just wanted to add what I've seen from McVay.
Now, feel free to say I'm projecting or that what I'm seeing is just confirmation bias.. but I see a guy who has turned a corner in his growth.
He actually looks a little older this season.. may have even added a couple of lbs... but his demeanor is also a bit more steely.
In past years, I have seen moments when he's looked a little overwhelmed on the sideline, I don't expect to see that anymore.
There's just a different vibe with him and, again, I think it's just that he's accepted that he's a coach and that the process and the day to day are important to him as a human. He loves to teach and help players and coaches grow. He's into that shit.

And the other observations in the original post are SPOT ON!!!

We're in McVay's second phase and I'm fascinated to see what comes of it.

He actually mentioned in his most recent show that he got a bit pass happy at the end of the shitter game. Which is true. So yeah it is possible we are witnessing a big season of change by our still-young Head Coach. And I like it very much.

I heard that.. but he was also kind of hedging on that, blaming it on game situation. I hope he doesn't talk himself into that angle too much, because I feel like the entire second half was too pass-dependent.

No doubt, great call.
Even in pre-season coach looked like he had the fire in him. Of course it's hard to look positive when enduring a tragic season like last year, but still, he does seem to have that fire back.
