Yup. Too big a chance of injury wrecking his career to not go for a huge wad of guaranteed money. I mean, it's got to be reasonable by NFL star standards, but it's not like he'll have just one year to gamble on - the Rams have years to wait if need be. But I see a big contract - with a bunch of guaranteed roster bonuses that can be switched to signing bonuses if the Rams need to spread the cap hit out a bit in the future.

I'm assuming tag numbers will be rising with the increase in the salary cap, though. How much we just don't know, as you say.

Has anybody ever been tagged 3 years in a row?
