I wonder if the arm band thing was similar to a bench press shirt. I would assume so, but then I've never actually seen a bench press shirt before.

In any case, it seems like that would help a little with the weight. 495 is impressive regardless.

That arm band (or strap) helps to prevent injury by keeping good form as you lift the weight. It does increase the amount you can lift, which in turn helps you to increase your max without it. I only know this cause my brother trains athletes for a living (such as Mark Sanchez, etc.)

Its called a slingshot, it was designed to somewhat replicate the bench shirt. It causes a slingshot type movement to help move weight. Little different than straps but does help prevent injury.

That, sir.....is an oxymoron.
Anything else nice to say? Why don't you say that to my brother? Why don't you say it to his face???

Tell your asshole friend he can ask my brother himself, face-to-face. My brother's also a 2nd Degree Black Belt. He's in Orange County. Here's where your friend can find him: https://www.cuttingedgeathletics.com. Tell him to tell my brother I referred him!

Lighten up Francis. It was all meant in fun. We joke about all kinds of non-Rams players. And the WORLD jokes about Sanchez running into his lineman's butt. It's not a reflection on your brother.

Bro, why so defensive I was just making a joke about the famous play. Wasn't taking a shot at you or you brother. Sorry my bad thought you had a better sense of humour.

Since I referenced Sanchez in context of my brother, the comments are disrespectful to a fellow poster. That's my take on it!

I'm proud of my brother. He has trained tons of athletes over the years. I could have mentioned Paul Kariya, Teemu Selanne, Dennis Rodman, etc., etc., etc., but I threw out Sanchez.

I was providing information to a fellow Rams fan, and you decided to turn it into a shot at my brother, all be it a joke. Not cool!

We're not supposed to take shots at one another in this forum. Taking a shot at my brother is like directing it at me.

It was a joke about Sanchez. You are too uptight.

I got "yelled at" on here for mentioning a friend trained Incognito during his Miami days and said what a nice guy he was.
That went over like a Led Zeppelin.
