Watch how Morris aligns his DL especially on first down. The tipoff is how he aligns his NT in a 0T. That is strictly a two gap alignment.

Here are some more examples. As folks can see the 0-tech but the slants/two-way gos show it's not two-gap. The get intheir gap and squeeze the next gap. Unless it's a call that makes it a pure 1-gap. Or Donald does what he wants. He's so good he gets to freelance if he sees something. You can see that and all this on film

This is exactly what PFF is clueless about.
I think they are familiar with what Rams are doing. They are not clueless.

For good measure, some will find it interest --- some won't

But what many people are seeing as a 0-tech is often a shade or 1-tech. From TV it is hard to see.
You can also see the various alignments of other guys- -- 3, 4i, 5 and then the SAM and WILL at 9 or wide 9

I guess with no response the point may be conceded.
As a comfort, Staley did the same thing. Head-up but
a movement or stunt or call ... whatever you want to use
as terminology shows head up or 0-tech does not
equate to 2-gap.

Not in the 2020s. Maybe a generation ago, not now.

here is SDJ and Gaines in a 0-tech slanting ...
and one rep from 2022 with Donald at 0-tech...and slanting

Watch how Morris aligns his players then watch how they play the down. He plays to limit gains not stop them.

This is why we haven't been able to beat the whiners. They'll take the 3-4-5-6 yards on first down and their skilled players are good enough to turn 3-4-5-6 yards into 5-6-7-28 yards. I can't recall how many times the Rams defense had the whiners for a loss on 1st down, only to see it turn into 2nd and 3.

Thank goodness Morris played aggressive against the whiners in the NFCCG.

The problem is the original poster is totally wrong on what the Rams are doing and "how Morris aligns his players".
He is saying Rams play 2-gap NT. They don't.

And Morris does the same thing Staley did.

So, the original poster is in error -- both on Staley and Morris. So, if you want further explanation on the errors
I'd be glad to do it. But any analysis using the information derived from a 2-Gap NT theory would be dubious.

And people need to remember Staley never beat the 49ers at all. Morris did.

The 49ers have the Rams number but they have a lot of teams' number. Only reason they don't have a ring in last 2 years
is a hurt QB in 2022 and the 2021 Rams solving the problem with execution. in 2021 Playoffs.

"More aggressive" is not part of the equation. it was better execution.

Or they don't have a ring is because they talk trash and can't back it up when it counts the most.

Biggest lead in the SB and NFCCCG surrendered by the whiners in the 4th quarter to lose makes me happy!

I get it. That's partisan fan talk. And Rams fans will lean on that in times of frustration. But looking at the facts, hate them or not, they
are a great team. And they just whipped a team they lost to when they had a QB with no arm.

They didn't lose that game because of trash talk. They lost because it wasn't a fair fight. They lost to the Rams in 2021 NFCCG because they got outplayed in a tough, close game.

I understand venting. But that stuff does not challenge people's minds that much. It brings the heat but not the light, sadly.

But hey, if that's your thing, carry on.

No, they weren't.

The word "great" has been so abused over the years that it has lost all meaning.
Beg to differ. It simply means considerably above average.

To me, it doesn't mean flawless. I believe in levels of greatness, i.e. two things
can be great but one can be greater than the other.

Or, to me, there are more than one great team in the NFL in any given year.
Some of those Rams teams were great but there were teams that were
also better.

But, you have your views, I have mine. Neither one is really right or wrong.
We seem to just have different definitions of the word.

To me being above average is good and great is being the best. Greatest is being the best of the best ex: Greatest Show on Turf.

I would agree. Which is why I used " considerably" above average.

I think Kobie Turner is having a great rookie season. I think Puke is having a great rookie season
Are they as good as Donald's rookie year or Randy Moss's? No.

So your definition is fine. for you. Have no quarrel, but I disagree, for me.

I used adverbs to be more precise. "Considerably" great. "Truly" great" ... "Pretty" great. -- Like that.

I think the same thing for "good", Good, very good, pretty good --- that is above average, below.

Truly great (60s Packers, 70s Steelers, 80s 49ers. 90 Cowboys). is how I describe that kind of team

1970s Rams? Not like those dynasties, but were a great team with a truly great defense. That's my nuance for the words.

They're the regular season champions. That's their thing.

They can talk all the crap they want but every single one of those fuckheads would take the nfc championship win over all their useless regular season game wins.

Fucking cocksuckers.

From that's guy's breakdown--which is very good
0-tech to left A-Gap, not a 2-gap NT
