I think it’s a bit understated how much of an impact that Raider game had on McVay. After such a letdown of a season that began with high expectations, he seemed demoralized on the sideline. Baker, and that game seemed to reignite something in McVay.

Baker Mayfield wore the horns. Not for long, but he wore them.

He’s a Ram.
McVay was considering retirement after that season. Mayfield didn’t save McVay’s career. Chris Petersen had more to do with stopping McVay from quitting and resetting his perspective on coaching.

If it was a lengthy stay then, Yes. Marc Bulger was obviously a Ram despite starting with the Saints. Jim Everett is obviously a Ram. But Mayfield was here a few months. When I think of him I still think Browns. Maybe in time I’ll think Buccaneer. Definitely not Ram. Bert Jones played for the Rams. He’s a Colt, nobody would argue differently.

I think we can all agree that Baker Mayfield is certainly not considered a Carolina Panther

Mayfield didnt spend enough time here. Didnt have any lasting affect. Do you think when he retires we will see him attending ram games? So no. He is part of a long line of former Rams.
