Confused as to his contract status.
Says he signed a 1 year deal with Tennessee, but shows contract terms for 2023.
Since he was on PS he had to have cleared waivers prior so his rookie contract would be void

Either way, the defensive line has stepped up in a huge way. Even guys like Earnest Brown IV showed up on defensive snaps. We're ridiculously deep, even if we lose one or both of Robinson and Gaines (although I'd pay through the nose to retain Gaines).
How do you think Bobby Brown did yesterday? He finally got a decent amount of snaps so I hope that he is progressing.

29 snaps, or 43% of the defensive snaps. Haven't seen his PFF grade yet, but his role as mostly being a NT isn't going to get him as noticed as some of the others along the DL. Both Brown's, Jonah Williams and Murchison appeared to hold their own, although the Bronco offense is quite suspect. jmo.

Over the years, it been rare that people have ever questioned my fandom, but when they do, I ask them who they root for and then ask them a question about that team.

Last guy that did that was a Detroit Lion fan and I asked him who was the Lions 3rd string QB back in 1973? When he hesitated I quipped "Bill Cappleman." and then said when you can answer questions like that, you can question me...I also added he was traded to Washington for Sam Wyche in 1974, but then I was just having fun.
You merciless bastid! Lol.

Random Ramsdom: Sean Mcvay had not yet met Rams DL who had 2 sacks vs Broncos

Rams’ Sean McVay ‘Just Met’ DT Larrell Murchison After Win vs. Broncos (ramsdigest/si)

Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Larrell Murchison gave coach Sean McVay a pleasant Christmas gift with two sacks in Sunday’s dominant 51-14 win over the Denver Broncos.

The catch? The two hadn’t met.

“Just met him 15 minutes ago,” McVay said at the postgame podium.

Murchison, 25, was claimed off waivers by the Rams on Dec. 12 after two and a half seasons with the Tennessee Titans, where he played in 26 games and made five starts.

The former North Carolina State star had been with the organization for nearly two weeks - but was yet to have a conversation with his coach. He was inactive during his first game with Los Angeles, a 24-12 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.

But he made his presence known against Denver, logging four tackles and the first two sacks of his career on just 16 snaps before leaving due to injury.”

This is a GREAT Example of why I consider the TurfShowTimes trash and its writers totally useless.

The above 'just met him' is a throw-away-line, akin to 'he just got here five minutes ago'.

It's a fucking joke. McVay is kidding. Just making the point that the player is new and is already contributing. McVay has said exactly the same thing about other players that were in-season-additions.

It's just not a serious or accurate statement. And it's irresponsible to print it as such.

I love Rams' news but not bull-shit; and this site and it's writers mostly suck ... in my opinion.

If some of you guys disagree with me (Bonifay - respect your opinions; and agree with the correct ones ... ;) ), please feel free to do so.

That's part of the reason I hope Raheem Morris is hired as a head coach by someone; Henderson more than deserves a promotion to defensive coordinator.
Even has a Raheem truther, I am intrigued by the idea.

Seeing a lot of these guys getting an extended audition is one positive in this shit season.
Brown hasn't impressed me, and that bums me out.

I wonder if Murchison is a guy who can stick? He was a decent athlete coming out. You're gonna lose either or both of Gaines and Robinson.. so, finding some cheap depth that might be able to play is a big win.
Brown has been stuffing the run well.

Larrell Murchison got released (from what I've heard) because of inconsistency in his play. Apparently he's a hot/cold type of player in his practices and simply couldn't break into the starting lineup. Goes to show different scheme, different DL and he ends up looking good. He did more in a few snaps with the Rams than he did in 2 years in TN.

The Titans I believe run a two gap DL alignment. This is probably why Murchison was viewed as a poor scheme fit. Very few teams use the two gap version of the 3-4, maybe two or three games. He obviously looks good in a one gap DL.

Bobby Brown could (should) have had the Floyd sack.

Wilson went down but had not been touched. Brown was closest but put his hands up in celebration. Floyd came over and touched Wilson, and was credited for the sack.
I'm a big fan.

I hope he's growing... he's going to be very important next year, if Robinson is gone, imo.
I think he's getting pressure on some reps and has been consistent against the run. He's an absolute mammoth.

.........and NT Greg Gaines:crying:

Bobby Brown will be entering his 3rd season in 2023 & it's time he should begin to finally pull his massive weight for this Ram defensive front. Aging 31 yr old Aaron Donald will be needing much more help next season.

Four year rookie contract. Looks like he got waived a few times to move on and off the PS but he's in year three of his rookie deal.

But he has to clear waivers to be put on practice squad. Once thru waivers he has no contract

Unless he got claimed on waivers, then the contract stands???? Not sure how this all works. It would be nice to have a definitive answer on whether he is still signed or will be a FA after two more games.
