I never was a huge Chris Long fan he seemed like a budget Grant Wistrom to me.

I disagree I think he was a better player than Wistrom, and I liked Wistrom.

It's just a shame that guys like SJAX, especially SJAX, who gave his heart and soul to the St Louis Rams.....a guy whose career was, by and large, swallowed by the horrible after-GSOT years and to say he doesn't have an NFL home because his team moved to LA, is beyond bad.

I think because of Jackson's personality he was attached to the fans and city. The fans loved him because of his leave it all on the field play week in and week out for years for garbage teams.

Like, I'm a die hard Cardinals fan (baseball) and from the early age of 10...I knew who Bob Gibson, Stan Musial and the greats were....We just never got that when the Rams were in St. Louis.

One of a handful of big mistakes Frontiere made was exactly that, not connecting the new fanbase to the team. IMO she was arrogant because the team rode into town and was well received even though they weren't very good when they showed up. It was flippant and arrogant and made many of us long time fans dislike her even more.

And speaking of St. Louis...I knew there were going to be some fans that stopped watching Rams football when the team left for LA....But I never thought pretty much the entire city would drop the team.

It's easy to understand just look at how it went down.

I can tell you watching fans back home in CLE after the Browns left for Baltimore made me really understand how a team can really be such a big part of the local fabric. Nobody was rooting for the Ravens in NE Ohio, trust me.

I think Old School was talking more about players that go to other teams - not former Rams greats. Just my guess. But then I'm sure his avatar is JY because he's dead to him.
Why the salty response?
We were talking about a different ram's great named SJAX who toiled most of his years for this team and did his best for us. I think honoring that is a pretty damn fine thing. No?

Well, Kurt Warner picks the Patriots to win, so my once favorite Ram player is now dead to me.

Not salty - just that I think his time here has shown that you jumped to a conclusion that wasn't what he meant. Such is the internet I suppose. I'll leave him to speak for himself.

Speaking of former Rams.
Before Marshal Faulk started playing football, was he singing "Oh Sheila?"

I was going to mention Kurt’s prediction slightly annoyed me, but...

I mean, Kurt has to be pulling for us... right?!?! Even if he predicted a Pats win, he’s still rooting for the Rams, right?!?

Please?

I mean didn’t he play more years with the cards than the rams ???

Like I said upthread I’m sure I’ve seen something about him feeling more like a card than a ram

Dunno boss.... it's not that hard for me to understand.

People like to win... the Rams didn't win then when they were there.

I'm sure Warner and Holt will turn off their mics pregame and motivate the current team to destroy the Patriots for filming their walk through in SBXXXVI

Eric Dickerson loud and proud in support of the LA Freakin' Rams!! I'd like to see more old LA Rams showing similar support. I think Warner tries very hard to not be a Rams homer and has to harbor a little resentment on how his tenure with the Rams ended.
