Specifically Danny Amendola and Chris Long. Both guys were good Rams in St Louis and they moved on to the Patriots and the Eagles (Chris Long anyway) and won multiple Super Bowl rings. They left and had great success, which I don't begrudge them, especially Long, but neither hardly acknowledges their time with the Rams.
In Amendola's case, he's picking the Patriots to win. Long was speaking more about what Bellicheat needs to do to beat the Rams defense (take away AD, etc....etc....). Only reference to the Rams was that this season was more like normal for him by being done in early December, like in St Louis. (ouch).

I don't know....I know me, that if I went away from a sorry organization that worked hard to drag itself from the trash heap, and found itself vying for the success that I had experienced after leaving them...especially if there were still former team members who had never known this level of success before, I'd be pulling for them. Neither of the above former Rams seem to pulling for the team that gave their chance...

I wouldn't expect any loyalty from those two.

@LoyalRam I understand your disappointment, but as a reminder it's important to be mindful that both players played under coaches before McVay. Different culture and probably different reasons for parting ways.

I empathize with their bitterness and envy as they were never coached under McVay.

I wonder if they look at the Rams like a bad Ex girlfriend/boyfriend. Maybe they dont miss or mayne even hate their time with the Rams. They both moved on to what ended up to be, at the time, better situations that lead to SB rings. I never was a huge Chris Long fan he seemed like a budget Grant Wistrom to me. Amendola was my favorite player during his time with Rams, but once he put on that Patriot uniform, he was dead to me.

Chris Long was drafted #2 overall in 2008 and got one of those massive rookie contracts. $57 million for a rookie contract, and then we gave him a 4 year extension in 2012, and left the Rams in 2016.....

Chris long was and remains one of my favourite rams he stuck with poor teams and made players like Quinn better with his presence

But He was a St. Louis ram I don’t expect him to have any loyalty to the LA rams ( and it seemed like players like him and JL were let go because of thier St. Louis rams ties plus thier declining play

I mean I even remember warner saying he felt more like a cardinal than a ram

It is what it is even Jackie slater is pulling for the pats (I know it’s because of his son ) but he coulda said something like either way it’s a win win for me

Because they played for the patriots. Once you go there, you've given your soul to Satan.

Jackie was also a St Louis Ram for a year or two, if memory serves...

If the argument is that "well, they have no loyalty to the Rams because they aren't connected to LA." Well, what of Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt, Marshall Faulk, Orlando Pace, and SJAX?

The Rams have tried to include these guys in team activities in LA, because they know how Georgia ostracized the old LA Ram stars when they moved to St Louis and did not include them in much until the end of the St Louis years (like Deacon Jones). It's just a shame that guys like SJAX, especially SJAX, who gave his heart and soul to the St Louis Rams.....a guy whose career was, by and large, swallowed by the horrible after-GSOT years and to say he doesn't have an NFL home because his team moved to LA, is beyond bad.

Chris Long still loves the Rams, he was on a local St. Louis radio station not to long ago saying how he's rooting for the Rams and how he still has a bunch of buddies on the team.

Ah, leave these two ex-Rams alone. The Rams have the last laugh because Amendola and Long's seasons are over. Those two are just jealous they are not on the current Rams roster!

Can't blame them for rooting for the Pats. Their time with the Rams involved Spags and Fisher, must've been night and day in terms of culture change going from those two to Belichick.

This is one thing that I wish the Rams did better during their time in St. Louis. I started watching the Rams in 1998 when I was 12 years old and I don't ever remember them honoring the Greats from their LA days. Like, I'm a die hard Cardinals fan (baseball) and from the early age of 10...I knew who Bob Gibson, Stan Musial and the greats were....We just never got that when the Rams were in St. Louis.

And speaking of St. Louis...I knew there were going to be some fans that stopped watching Rams football when the team left for LA....But I never thought pretty much the entire city would drop the team. I think me and 3 of my buddies are the only Rams fans left in the St. Louis area lol

F Chris Long. He was the reason we lost vs the Eagles at home in the 2017 season, which contributed to us falling out of the bye week consideration and the Eagles getting home field. Dude is dead to me.
