Here is yet another take involving the Rams. I do hope to continue to sharing and hope that these get some great discussions going. The guys are here once a week and looking for questions, topics and interaction - and maybe guests in the studio, etc. They are doing a wine giveaway now (Ferragamo Vineyards) ;) if you know the number of ribs Jackie ate on July 4th, and want to do more fun stuff. The thing is that this is a new show and we need to build subscribers. We'd love all the support we can get!

RB is absolutely not obsolete. The problem is they are too readily available and the good ones don't last too long. That combination drives the market so it's gonna be the market until there is some scarcity, if ever.

Also their show has quickly become my favorite on the Rams. They do a great job. :thumbsup1:

Yeah, I don't know why Melvin Gordon is singling out Gurley and McVay, other than they were in LA the same time as him.

Christian McCaffrey and Zeke Elliott were both paid after that.

Melvin Gordon seems to have thought he was better than he actually was on the field for the Chargers. Never got the hold-out...

The problem is the rookie contracts. Runningbacks now for whatever reason are not built like the rbs of the past (sj, lt, Martin etc) they don't stay healthy. So it's not financially responsible to give these massive contracts to even the most elite of rbs at then end of the there rookie deals. RB should be the only position coming into the league that gets 1 yr deals imo.

They need to change the rookie contact rules for running backs. Shorten it to a three year deal for first round RB's (with no franchise tag). Give them a chance at a second contract (even if it's only another 3 year deal).

If the next Marshally Faulk came along, I'd give him an 8 year deal. (no blue font)

With today's reliance on the under ware Olympics', Faulk wouldn't even get drafted.

Great is great. He'd still be the most incredible weapon on the Rams today (in his prime)

He broke the housing market for sure for NFL Coaches!

And, of course I have to include the home that the "Bears" owner lives in, just because I can't make this stuff up!

I agree! He just wouldn't get drafted or it would be late round.

Unless Snead or McVay likes him in the sixth round.:giggle:

I'd say no because the market was trending down for several years. One way to see that was the steady progression of how few 1st and 2nd round RB's there are in the draft compared to even 10 years ago. Hell when we drafted Gurley there were a lot inside and outside the Rams fandom/team that criticized us for taking a RB so high.
