I have no solid evidence but i could have sworn this would be the topic during the game and after but no-one seemed to pick it up besides the 2 guys i was watching the game with. That one outside run to the right where he got tackled by the legs and got bent awkwardly is the play I'm talking about. After that play he wasn't in the following play and only was in the next drive maybe 2 plays. Later in the 3RD QT when they were showing mcvay talking to the offense Gurley was nowhere to be found....he was off to the side and i saw mcvay lip to him....hows your back..... gurley looked to brush it off and say I'm good but it was deff. telling to me and the guys that i was with that something wasn't right.....yes he was in there for blocking and a decoy and receiving but maybe he could bend over to run it......like i said idk i hope I'm wrong but i think it was a very quiet injury that I'm shocked wasn't broadcasted? anyone tape the game and see what we saw????? But anyway the game was great glad we are getting talib back now and that we have a bye week to have a little bit of a break....not having a bye this late in the year is very tough so hopefully mcvay gets these guys some rest and back to work when we need to be ready.............EDIT....SORRY THE TITLE MEANT TO SAY GURLEY......STUPID IPHONE

Glad you fixed title of thread. For a second I had visions of Hurley from the show Lost. Those aren't good visions.
Gurley will be fine with the bye week coming and the fact that McVay let him come back in. Pun intended. Nice catch on the lip reading.

Yeah I had a similar thought--when Brown was in for a significant amount of time I thought maybe Gurley had gotten hurt. Considering he got back into the game, I'm sure he's fine. This bye week is a blessing.

After seeing the tackle I knew he had to be in pain. That was an awkward tackle and hurt just watching it. Hopefully he will be ok.

Me and the Mrs. thought the same thing. Was a little relieved when he returned to the field.

Still, the bye week couldn't have come at a better time. Hope everyone has enough time to heal up for the home stretch!

We were all talking about that play and TG injury in the GDT. It looked bad and they used him sparingly after that play.....Of course the numb nuts on NFLN and ABC were saying TG just had a bad day.... SMH always to busy with the agenda to report things real football fans care about. I wish we could get some good football announcers that talk real football.

He hurt something out there - there is no way we would have had that much Malcom Brown otherwise

I wish people wouldn't post titles like this only based on a hunch...
I think everyone seen it with their own eyes....go back and rewatch. You can even tell he wasn’t 100%. I can telll you with having played in college and being hurt. You can play with a hurt back but wouldn’t be able to do certain things. Such as putting your head down lowering the shoulder....there is something wrong. Might not be major but something happened

I saw it too. Almost looked like a horse collar in that his body bent the wrong way. kC seemed to be tackling to hurt players all night. Page out of the sea chickens playbook.

I have to agree with JJ, the title makes it sound like he's definitely hurt. scared the hell out of me lol

No shit, and oh btw Witten - you SUCK as an announcer - and I don't even care that you were all over Mahomes tip. (Great TE though).

He is not long for the booth.

Saw it with my own eyes and also saw him get up and jog back to the huddle just fine. I watched every second of the game and didn't see anything out of his play that would suggest injury outside of a lack of touches, which makes sense given the direction the game was going.

Players take much nastier hits than that all the time and come out unscathed.

And either way, doesn't change the fact that this thread is titled as a fact and based on speculation.

I saw the hit as he went out of bounds. His face showed something, but it's impossible to say if it was pain, disruption etc. All I can say is after that run, he looked EXACTLY like he did in the Playoff loss to Atlanta....sluggish, but not bad.....a burst here and there, but overall a much slower Todd Gurley.
