Unless you read a report from a reliable Rams' source, I would not be too concerned.

If you visit the Rams' Team site, there's hundreds of photos from the Rams' post-game celebration. Ramsey is prominent in many photos. He's hugging Stafford on the field, he's posing with Weddle and the Lombardi Trophy, he's holding his child and hugging his partner, he's sitting in the confetti with half-a-dozen family members, he's mugging for the camera with teammates in the locker-room.

Also see where Ramsey has been active on twitter; and posted the following:
"SUPER BOWL CHAMPS❕God is great❕ ALL GLORY TO GOD❕ THANK YOU JESUS❕
… YALL CANT SAY ABOUT MY CAREER NOW BTW❕ God bless❕"
THIS is what I believe is most important to Ramsey.

“How does what I’m doing glorify God?”

It is in everything he posts, how he acts and talks off the field, even the crosses he wears as “eye black”.

Good point with the star position, and that's what i'm alluding to in terms of maybe Raheem directed him and the trainers to change his body a bit in preparation for that role. Ramsey is already a big physical corner, but i could see the rationale of the trainers wanting him to build more bulk up top to accommodate mixing it up inside like a LB.

He looked better outside a year ago, although he was rarely tested.

Yeah if you don't use it you lose it. They had to adjust because of the Bengals deep wr pool. I think maybe the Rams look at that this off-season as well. Not to mention it's going to evolve due to the Rams bringing in new players and losing them to FA

Ramsey has been getting some crap for his play during the SB.

Being in position to intercept an underthrown pass while the defender yanks on your facemask throwing you forward while your head does a 180 should not even be considered.

He had two other big plays by him of which turned into only three points.

Found this video that was a more fair analysis of how well Ramsey played Chase.

I watched this as well but obviously the Bengals saw something in Ramseys deep game. It probably goes back to the bucks game. Not saying he was "bad" per say but he definitely had an off day

I didn't really see him after the game or at any of the post-game celebrations.

It's just strange because a guy with his reputation as a big mouth, you would expect for him to be screaming from the rooftops right now, but there just seems to be radio silence. Especially when compared with McVay, Stafford, big Whit, Von, and even notoriously quiet guys like AD and Cooper Kupp.

Hope he's not pouting, but I think he's grown up enough for that not to be the case.

YIU OBVIOUSLY DON’T KNOW the person Jalen RAMsey is ? That post is sort off silly if you did.
As a Rams player Jalen RAMsey to me is a changed man who has grown as a person.I remember in Jacksonville he came to training camp In a BRINKS TRUCK .Sort of lol & thought he was a little crazy. As a Ram Fan I questioned him.

I’d say if anyone hasn’t seen his interviews all season then maybe reflecting back you will find the truth.

All the Raheem Morris HATERS I still lol At because I got banned I day or to for defending him as The Rams DC & his Character. I find it a shame Imo the attacks & disregard on what this 2 RAMS we’re creating.

I do know I lost some big money on the SuperBowl & that Jalen of all players had a tough game.
1.Chase catch for Cinncy’s first 3 points..He did say it was on him.Got caught at his speed.Burrow did go after him.The Rams defense held up.
2.The 71 yard TD
3.Chase on there last series. He was setting up for a pick 6.That would have been sweet. Then again a nice throw & catch for 17 yards.
4.Could have been more, but still imo might go down as a HOF cb? He still needs to prove it though.

This Rams team is one of the most God Fearing teams(Rams 21/22) in ALL sports that I have ever seen.

I believe that is we’re his mindset is of a MAN of Faith.

Sort of in the same page.Thiught he was going to have a excellent SuperBowl.
His not celebrating & partying was more about who he is as a Man & we’re he is in his Faith.
Matthew Stafford is a partier & his wife as well. I understand as a person the difference.I’m more of a partier myself & drink to much.
I am not taking sides of the ball. I do know as a CB stats don’t always tell the whole story from stats. That is why I would have doubts Jalen RAMsey as a HOF player. Both players I think are.Matthew is loved throughout the NFL.
The celebration thing though is Jalen RAMsey doing his own thing as a person & who he is in his soul.I really like how he has found trust in the local media. They gave him an award as the best Ram in the media 2021.Looked almost as a joke or it being a mockery. He took it in stride.

The Tyler Rapp thing he & Morris handle it well.Troy Reeder as well for being open & honest.Lol at himself playing college ball with his brother.

The black face paint Jalen wears is a cross to show his faith as a Christian.
His love of God is important.Cooper Kupp is just another example. Obj & Miller have a deep spiritual connection as players.brothers & humans of life.
I’ve found it sort of fascinating.

The media impression of Jalen (esp pre-Ram time) seems way different than the real life actual man Jalen.
Maybe. But I can't help that Ramsey is one of the only Rams I worry about right now, personality wise. I believe he has bought into the "we not me" mindset, but he is undoubtedly one of the poutiest players on this team when things aren't going his way and him punching Taylor Rapp still leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. And this might be unfair and there's no way to tell exactly what's going in someone's personal life but him leaving leaving Golden Tate's pregnant sister for another woman just doesn't sit right with me.

I say all that to say, glad he's on the team and helped contribute to a Super Bowl.

I'm not sure where all this concern for Ramsey comes from. He's fine.

And why is it now perceived as fact that he had a bad Super Bowl? That's not how I saw it at all.
  • He gave up a long ball on an incredible catch by one of the best WRs in the game. This is incomplete to 99% of WRs
  • Same drive, he played great D to hold them to a FG
  • He would have had an INT, but was pulled down by his facemask, leading to a bogus TD
  • Basically took their best WR out of the game the rest of game
  • ...except the last drive when he bit on a pass he shouldn't have, worst thing to do when the Bengals need to drive the field for a tying FG, but it worked out
Without him playing how he played, their offense would have scored more and we would have lost.

Fact.

Yes exactly he played well if you look at the entire game. He had two bad plays, the long ball to Chase who made an incredible one handed catch, and the late throw to Chase when he tried to jump the route. That's it, two plays. Someone posted a Twitter cut up of every snap in the SB and he played pretty great. Of course that won't be the narrative though.

None of this parade stuff bothers or alarms me. It's just more noise

However, does Ramsey need his inner ear checked? Multiple times this year and especially going one-on-one in the playoffs his balance and body control looked plain bad to me. Very top heavy. I understand that he doesn't have blazing speed and there are many WR's who can beat him straightaway, but none of that has anything to do with body control when he's right there with his man and the ball is incoming.

Did he play at a different weight or body type this season?

Maybe he did bulk up as mentioned in another post.

I think he gets flat-footed trying to anticipate (jumping) shorter routes. Thus he does get beat deep. Sometimes he catches up to the play/ball when it's underthrown. Sometimes it is a deep completion like to Evans and Chase when the QB makes a good throw.

He is very physical and tackles great. I don't see him as a shutdown CB. He uses his intimidation and mouth to get in WRs heads. He does give the Rams great presents on the field.

Not sure if mentioned but watched the post game trophy presentation again and Ramsey was not up on stage but rather on the field with the “general population”. Perhaps he felt slighted?? Akers certainly didn’t have a good game but he was up there. Woods too and he obviously wasn’t even in uniform. Floyd also. Ramsey is a face of the team and should have been up there. Wonder who decides who gets on stage and who doesn’t?

Don't no body need to worry their heads off about Ramsey. He's good. And the fact that he didn't have as good of a game as he would have liked to (in terms of optics) is not a bad thing. Imagine how hard he's going to ball next year defending the crown...
