How many signed Ram DL'ers are over 310 pounds? Zero.

Joseph-Day 310
Brockers 305
Smart 290
Franklin-Myers 288
Fox 275
Donald 270 to 275 maybe?

Rams run defense gave up 5.1 yds in 2018 that average figure placed our defense in the last place. No other NFL team was as bad.

It's been wonderful to watch the Rams FO the last couple years, they have made brilliant decisions constructing the roster. The only head-scratcher, to me, is why they've never invested in a big run-stuffing NT. Plugging in Dexter Lawrence would be great, but what if he isn't there? Or-- as seems likely-- the Rams are inclined to trade down?

We all remember what happened after Brockers went down in the ATL playoff game... their run-game became unstoppable.

Suh was a reasonable solution last year, and although he was mediocre in the reg. season, he stepped up his game in the playoffs, and the Rams run D was respectable throughout the playoff run. But now that Suh is likely gone, the Rams don't seem to have a viable 2019 plan to replace him.

I just wish the Rams had a veteran widebody NT, a heavyset guy with nimble feet, a guy like Tony Siragusa or Vince Wilfork. Then let AD and Brock and JFM and the others run twists and stunts around the solid anchor in the middle.

I guess their plan is to beef up Brockers and move him back to NT? Doesn't sound ideal to me, frankly.

Dexter Lawrence seems to fit the bill perfectly, I just don't know what the hell their backup plan would be. Wilkins is out of the Rams' range, Tillery has red flags, and Saunders will be making a huge jump as a rookie.

Rams also brought in Daylon Mack, another wide body., for a visit. So it would seem they are somewhat interested in traditional NTs.

Lawrence is a 2 down player. Have to draft a 3 down player at 31, 2 down players can be found later.
I see the merit in your comments here.....but when teams can average 5.1 yds per rush that means the defense will be on the field for long periods of time. We saw way too much of that last season.

If a NT can get the defense off the field after a 3 down series ....being a two down player is fine with me.

please elaborate

Overrated player imo. Doesn't consistently show up snap to snap. Gifted as hell. Tools to be dominant. But allowed himself to be handled by college OLs who will never see the NFL far too often.
