Do you think McVay would have succeeded with Sam Bradford as his starting QB?

Which version of Bradford? If McVay had Bradford from the beginning? Maybe. The issue with young Bradford was his inability to stay healthy. I think he could have been successful in a better spot. But if he couldn't stay healthy, he wouldn't have been successful, and McVay wouldn't have stuck by him.

We were a shit franchise until the McVay/Goff pairing pulled us out of the dumpster.

Their cap situation isn't great (because Patricia and Quinn were idiots), but it's not bad either. They can create enough room to fill some holes.

Yea they're in better shape than us with the cap but my bigger issue is lack of talent on the roster. If they franchise KG it feels like they'd have to clear cap space just for that and the draft.

As for us also being a shit franchise prior to McVay - they haven't won a playoff game till 1992. That's next level. Probably the most tortured fanbase in the NFL now that the Browns won a playoff game.

We did have the worst five year stretch in NFL history but we also won five playoff games including a Super Bowl in between their last playoff win and McVays arrival.

They have a lot of guys to cut, frankly. Patricia and Quinn handed out a lot of very stupid contracts.

I fully believe if Bradford could have escaped the injury bug and had someone like McVay....I think he could have been one of the best in the league year in and out. He was special and it was wasted on shit coaching and shit luck with injuries.

I dont think Bradford was half the QB that Goff is, but he surely would have been better with McVay. Now how good would they have been with Kellen Clemens, AJ Feeley, Shaun Hill and Austin Davis? Again, better than they were, but hardly SB contenders.
In a small sample, games under McVay watch with QB other than Goff? 1-1 record, 2 turnovers, 0 touchdown passes/runs, 68.6 QB rating and 22 total points
