Whether he is or not he isn't going to be seeing the field anytime soon. The commissioner will be putting him on multiple game suspensions if not for the entire season. If there are drugs involved he's done. If he was arrested they might have tested him for drugs. A gun felony is likely to cost him most if not all of the season. IMO Kroenke might be conferring with lawyers about voiding his contract. No way I see Stan wanting this PR mess on his door step. It's not the money as it's only $132K, it's the PR aspect. Most contracts contain void language built into them and in most instances, being arrested for a felony qualifies or at least is discrentional and with his history I can't believe Kendrick's rookie contract doesn't contain it.

Frankly I've never understood how he cleared team vetting. He wasn't even on a lot of team boards simply because of his history. Morris has a lot of say as to which defensive players are drafted. He would have had to sign off on it or advocated for him considering DK's history concerns. It may come back and bite him in the ass when it comes to HC interviews next year.

Oh BTW the gun was unregistered the marijuana container was open. That's why I speculated that the police might have taken samples for testing. Marijuana might be legal but driving under the influence isn't. LA is a zero bail city so apparently he wasn't detained. The unregistered gun is why it's a felony. The weapon will be run and if there are crimes on it then it will complicate things for DK.

Ultimately DK's fate is in the hands of the Commissioner. But I don't see anything less than a 6 game suspension.

Alvin Kamara and his homies beat the shit out of someone and he got a 3 game suspension

What Kendrick did was stupid but it wasn’t THAT serious in my opinion

Based on the limited info available now, I dont see DK getting more than a one game suspension at most. DK has the money to hire a top attorney. We'll see.

In California owning an unregistered firearm by itself isn't illegal. But it is if you are carrying it be it on your person or in your vehicle outside of your home. The charge has been reported as a felony. That means in CA it was an unregistered firearm carried outside of his residence and was loaded. If it was in the glove compartment and not disclosed that would be another aggravating factor but at the discretion of the prosecutor.

We are also talking about a behavior pattern since he was busted on gun charges in college.

What most don't know is that any suspension means he doesn't get paid for those games. But it also means he forfeits guaranteed money in the amount equal to the number of games of the suspension. Since he's on his 6th round rookie contract that's about $55K per game. That's on top of any fines he might get from the arrest.

People may not think it's a big deal but for a rookie like DK and his past history, I wouldn't bet on it.

Maybe it's just because I live in the south where what he did wasn't even illegal (outside of the marijuana) but I find the reaction here a bit odd tbh. We don't even have such a thing as a gun registration and the only carrying that is illegal is concealed carrying which you can easily get a permit for and even that is legalized in some areas with or without a permit. And a concealed carry violation is still only a misdemeanor with slap on the wrist consequences.

Marijuana charges are very minor as well unless you're a dumbass that carries Greg Robinson trafficking amounts.

In the scheme of things, I think this all gets swept under the rug. I'm speculating but I wouldn't be shocked to see him on the field Sunday.

We are talking California here. Their laws are much different than most states when it comes to guns.

The simple fact is Kendricks is a dumb ass thug that has not proved himself to be a quality NFL player. He is nothing more than a distraction to this team and has proved to be a lability both on and off the field. Goodby and good riddance!

I wouldn't call for his head at this point. Like I always say let the courts do their thing. Social media judgment doesn't mean shit and the team should not be concerned about that stuff. Once the dust settles with the courts there is time to do what you need to do even if that means cut him.

But for now I imagine Tomlinson is going to get his look. And I am confident in his game too. He just needs to watch that aggressiveness, the refs have him in their sights already.

Not getting into any kind of gun debate, I promise.

Simply, it doesn't matter whether it's lawful where you live.. the behavior he is accused of is illegal in CA. So, it's a judgement issue, at best (if you believe the accusations) and a willfully criminal thing at worst (again, if you believe the accusations).

He won't be on the field on Sunday.

When I think about Kendrick I think about two pass interference penalties in the endzone that resulted in final play touchdowns before the half both times.

Always fun to see people just validating what they previously thought of a player when something like this happens.

Kendrick has been good this year and has a bright future for us. Driving with a gun is one of the least stupid dumb things a player can do. We all watched and a lot of us cheered Leonard Little for years. Let's have some perspective here folks.

Are you kidding? I never cheered for Leonard Little, and I wanted him gone for years, especially after the second DUI.

This was Kendrick's second chance. I will never begrudge a player for making the most of a second chance; it's why I was okay with Tru, okay with Janoris, hell, why I was okay with Quinn after his DUI. This is America, place of second chances in life, after all.

But Kendrick did the exact same thing he got in trouble for in college. He hasn't learned his lesson. Akers got dealt for much less, and things like that could poison a locker room. Cut Kendrick's ass, teach him a lesson.

He's a kid. Kids do stupid things. But he didn't hurt anyone.

Why you were okay with someone after a DUI? I hope you're listening to yourself here...90% of the people on this site could have gotten a DUI in their lives, a lot of them probably have.

Akers seemed to be an actual locker room problem. We don't know that Kendrick is....you're projecting because he got arrested.
