Dear Jared,

I was with you till I wasn’t. It was a good run till it wasn’t. We can speculate what went wrong but it doesn’t really matter because “ you got paid!” When you feel the urge to dis the Rams try and remember this “ you got paid!” The rams could have rode this out till the 5th year on your rookie contract but they didn’t. Instead they gave a fat extension 2 years early and “ you got paid!” Enjoy Motown, get your game on and keep tapping that fine model ass!
Best wishes
Ram fan

Even with the down years in 19-20, he's the best QB this franchise has had since Warner.
The Thursday nighter against Minnesota, the Epic game against KC and the NFC Championship game when he brought us back from down 13-0 justify his career. I hope he does well in Detroit
One of the best QB performances I have seen in that game vs Minnesota.

As with all former Rams, I wish you the best 16, except when you play us. It’s always true when more people are ready to move on than not, moving on is what will happen. Good luck in the Motor City. Cue up “ Turn The Page”! Might as well, you are in Bob Seger land now.

Was he really publicly talked down by McVay and Snead? Or was he simply not coddled like many want for the sacred cow QB position?

In the end, we really have very little idea of what was going on in that locker room. It's very well possible that Goff's hands may not be as clean as many here want to believe.

Entirely possible. But absent any quotes--and I still haven't seen anything outside of Silver's defense which I don't recall including Goff quotes or anything from his people--giving us any insight on the other side of the story, it's hard to know.

After years of awful football and a constant QB carousel. I thought Goff was going to be the one guy who was truly a franchise QB for this organization for a real long time. Personally I think Goff is getting the raw deal here but that's how it goes.

I will always appreciate the Goff years and be a fan of his and wish him well.
Keeping in mind, of course, that he's a stinking SF Giants fan. All the best to ya, Jared.
Except when we meet again. :shitlogo:

Yup. Goff played about as close to perfect as I’ve ever seen a QB play. Those passes were amazing with a high degree of difficulty.

That TD pass to Kupp in the corner of the endzone... It was stupid good.

Like, there are times I'm not the biggest Buck fan, but his call was perfect...

"Goff...to Kupp... COME ON!!!"

Yep. That's about all that could be said...

And IIRC, Buck said, "What a catch!" and then Aikamn chimed in, "What a THROW!"

Sigh... Back then, Aikman loved Goff, McVay loved Goff, everyone loved Goff...

Off the top of my head, my 3 favorite Goff games were Minn, KC, and the NFCCG.

Four terrific years. Too bad it ended on a sour note. Really wish Goff nothing but the best, he's been a class act.

I remember wishing we had drafted the “other” guy. I wasn’t sold on you, Jared. But when we had drafted you number 1, I wrote in our forum that it’s up to you to prove us wrong. It didn’t happen the first year. That was a disaster. The second year the team (and you) made a massive improvement, and we were one and done to the Falcons.
Still you started knocking down milestones such as Conference Champs, a SB and plenty of others. Jared you proved to us you belong in this league.
I know you already knew that.
You have a lot of great qualities.
You are tough as nails.
You are still young.
You are so talented.
You get another chance.
Go for it and don’t look back.
God bless and thanks for the memories.

Thank you QB1. You gave us your all during your time here. You gave us some great games. KC on MNF, the Vikings on TNF and the NFCCG in New Orleans.

You QB’d the team in one a couple of my favorite games even though you had little to do when we blew out the aseahawks in Seattle causing the 12’s to leave at halftime and let’s not forget the team running all over the Cowboys as well in the playoffs.

You ended a long run of bad QB play and helped to end our playoff drought.

You were very big in the community on multiple fronts and have promised to keep doing it. Hopefully one day Rams fans will remember you for the positives of 2017 and 2018.

As with all former Rams I wish you the best unless we play you which is on the schedule for 2021.

Goff is such a class act... that tweet was special, especially when you consider the anger and disappointment and resentment that may be in his heart and in his head at this moment. I'm sure McVay and especially Snead are feeling guilty for ridiculing him in the media. That said... I will also wish him the best, even when we play against him. In fact, I hope we win that Detroit game 41-40 in a shootout, and Goff plays lights out. Thanks for the memories #16. You will be missed.

Speaking of which, I saw a couple of other posters mention that they recently bought Goff jerseys. I know that NFL Shop and Fanatics (same damn thing really) offer jersey insurance in case a player changes teams within like 90 days of purchase. Might be worth looking into for some of you.....
