9ers have been playing good ball since they beat us tbh. They're a tough out right now. So I could see them beating the Cards because the Cards look a lot like we did last year on defense, that being a team built to stop the pass but can't stop the run for shit.

Of course Garoppolo plays his best vs the Rams and will probably be his usual self when we need him to beat the Cards. But that said this year one thing he is doing right is he doesn't put up a lot of bad passes. Which complements Shanny's run game very well.

My hope is the Cards drop the Colts and 9ers games.
9ers wont play the cards again unless they meet in the playoffs.

I don't want anybody to die, but the elephant in my particular room is that if opposing players go down injured I think 'fantastic'

I guess I'm just a horrible person.
No, you are not a horrible person.

However, you probably are not one of the really good ones either.

I tore my mcl in highschool. I was fine in 2 months, no surgery. Players with strong leg muscles can recover fairly quickly from MCL tears, though if he’s having surgery is must’ve been more severe then mine was.
Torn as in a partial tear? Not severed? I don't understand how they could heal so fast. I severed the tendon on my big toe. Surgery was in a week. Non weight bearing for six weeks. Walking on crutches or a knee scooter for another month. Walking with a came in 11 weeks. It didnt feel 100% until month 6.

The way a MLB player told me the tendons work is that its like a steel cable with many strands. Strands slowly break/snap one by one throw years of misuse. Eventually the entire tendon severs.

I don't wish any harm on Hopkins, he's a helluva player and I've never heard anything to indicate that he's not a good dude.

But at the same time, I get what you're saying - if you are a Rams fan, you are definitely going to think about how this affects both them as well as the Rams chances moving forward.

Don't kid yourself - nobody else who's a fan of another NFC West team was lamenting the fact that Woods went down with an ACL and I'm sure they were thinking how it would benefit their respective teams.
For sure.

I didn't actively WANT it to happen, but now it has, well okkkk, I ain't complaining.

I wish people would quit whining with the ' I want to play their best team'

Bullshit people.

We want to win.

NO team has their best team at this stage of their season.

I'd love it to be announced that Murray has haemorrhoids that mean he's in agony taking a shit and cannot play for fear of his grapes splitting.

If that makes me a bad person, so be it.

I don't want him dead, or his career finished, but something that means 99 gets a ring is, for the most part, fine by me.

Now Brady is an altogether different matter.

If I heard he'd been attached to a medieval torture rack and was currently being pulled apart by Jeff Fisher at one end and Mike Martz at the other in quarter-inch increments, I'd be like 'meh, whatcha gonna do? Boys will be boys'

Having said that, Jeff would never get past 7 inches and Mike would have to finish the job off by running up the score.

Nice on Mike. Nice one.

toes are a bit different. Mine was a partial tear, but my doc and PT told me that your knee has a lot of muscles that can assist with keeping the knee in place, which is why athletes can recover from them so quickly. And most of my PT was strengthening some of the muscles that stabilize the knee. Toes have smaller muscles supporting them.

I have a grade two. Just ice and braves. Started therapy and it’s getting better but I’m still a few months away from training hard.

The longer Hopkins rehabs the better off the Rams are going to be.

Yeah, gotta be MCL, no way do you come back from an ACL that quick.

It's horrible when players do things like that.

If they play for the Rams.

Otherwise, I couldn't give a fuck.

I don't want anybody to die, but the elephant in my particular room is that if opposing players go down injured I think 'fantastic'

I guess I'm just a horrible person.

I also suspect more people think this than care to admit it.
My 1st thought is always how does it affect my team. Even when it is Woods. Then I feel guilty and think about the player.

Cowboys Colts and Seahawks.

I expect the Cards to lose at least two of those.

But can we hold our own?

Seahawks Vikes Ravens Niners

I honestly do not see us losing to the Niners this time around. The Ravens are decimated by injury. Vikes withiut Theilen.

Our biggest question is Seattle with all these Covid no shows

It is hard to see him coming back in time for the playoffs. Tough blow to the Cardinals.
especially since they are 1 and done in the playoffs.

So they lost a key receiver? Welcome to the club.

You never wish that for any team really, especially when it your own team.
Imo Murray will have a short career because of his size & position.
Don’t wish that on him,but he is always giving that extra effort which leaves him vulnerable.
