I don't agree, (and on another thread I referred to Jenkins as a "douchebag").

I blame Jenkins 100% for his own actions but I don't see how anybody can or should blame the actions of another person on Jenkins or say this reflects on HIS character at this juncture.

Just my opinion.

Yeah, I think I am not being clear with you.

I don't think its a coincidence that someone with questionable character issues gets a dead body in their house. I seriously doubt JJ is at all implicated with this but people with character issues commonly surround themselves with the same. And doing so some stink might get on you.

Like someone murdered in your home when you are gone. You think that will easily be forgotten? I have no doubt it will be mentioned on air every time he plays this year. Brother killed someone in his home.

I do not blame Jenkins for this young mans death.

It could absolutely be a coincidence.

To jump to the conclusion that someone who has questionable character issues somehow makes them more likely to have a murder in their house?

That's a pretty big leap.

I just think it's a much classier approach to give Janoris the benefit of the doubt as he's going through this rather than pile on.

And no, I don't think it's going to be brought up every time Jenkins takes the field for several reasons;

The announcers are going to show more class than to continually bring it up.

The announcers benefit from portraying a clean image for the NFL, true or not.

It will be old news three or four games into the season.

For sure we will all find out if Jenkins had anything to do with this murder, or nothing to do with it. But, after Aaron Hernandez, we can't rule out the possibility that JJ has a connection to the murder.

You're right.
We can't rule it out and we can't rule it in.

It is no leap at all.

It is irrational to think that a murder in someones home is unlikely to be attached to character issues.

I haven't seen any piling on around here. Just questioning the connection. Which is very reasonable.

I agree that we surround ourselves(for better or worse) with people who we can identify with, relate with, enable us and challenge us.

If the people you surround yourself with in life can't stay out of trouble it doesn't make you guilty of anything but it does speak to your character IMO....and it damn well puts you at a higher risk of finding yourself involved in some trouble. I didn't say guilty...

I have seen "for better or worse" in my life. And the luxury of seeing the results of my decisions.

Choosing "for better" has paid out in spades compared to if I had chosen "or worse". And that is certainly not been by chance. It often times took the hard road vs the easy.

I can't imagine how hard it is for the likes of JJ to make the right choices. Being honest in his position of piles of money at such an early age, I likely would have made horrible choices.

There are many in the NFL that are better than I at the age they made those decisions.

The Lord moves in mysterious ways. Regardless of who your Lord is.

GO RAMS!!!

I can't believe they found that already. I just put it there a few days ago. I mean somebody, somebody put it there, a few days ago. Someone that I don't know:whistle:

Agreed. I don't think there's been reason as of yet for anyone to get their panties in a wad. :p

Something tells me you wouldn't have been afraid to fly outta Dodge like JJ's brother was....

You pick your friends, you don't pick your family

This is very true.

You can though chose what relationship you have with family. Some I must keep a long arms distance from to protect my immediate family.

Otherwise we may find a dead body in the basement while we were on vacation in Florida. :mrburnsevil:

I believe thos to be MOSTLY true.
There are exceptions. Life long friends that took a wrong turn for example.
I think this is a huge problem for a lot of these athletes. Their friends they grew up with leeching onto their success.

“Come on bro. You got the big contract now. Hook me up wid a car. We boys, right?”

The Rams program for the rookies is great for money handling, but I think an underrated aspect is teaching them how to be able to say ”no”, and to prune your tree of friendships.
