Yeah he had a bad game against Crosby and Dunlap but he is still a very good run blocker.

He definitely needs help against speed and strength rushers. I have noticed that as well.

In years past, we had Whitworth so we could help out Havenstein in his one area of weakness.

Last year, we did not have a good LT especially once both Noteboom and Jackson went down.

I am not a huge fan of Havenstein but he is better than anyone we had on the roster last year.

This year? Maybe we have a future RT on the roster but we need to stick with Havenstein for now.
He is also a team leader that knows the offense very well.I agree he needs to be covered up at times.
When A. Jackson was starting at LG though Big Rob did well & didn’t have to worry about the inside rush as much. That made things easier for him & then those 2 could maul.

Hey, just saying, Crosby is an elite edge. He’s wasted on the horrid Raiders, but he’s a cut above the vast majority of edges.

I think you'll find that a lot of people would put him in top 10 as a pure edge rusher and I think the Athletic guys have him as 6th best (and he's really good as a run defender!)

But, to your point, no one knows that cause of how bad the Raiders are.
