Oday healthy and with a full training camp with Rams? Sure!
He's been with the team 3 weeks and we have no idea what kind of real physical condition he's in.
I have to believe he’s at full health otherwise why sign him. Also OL get up to speed pretty quickly so not sure if that’s the issue .

When I say "full health", I don't mean just passing the physical. He's less than a year off a torn ACL.

He was on the street for a reason... and I said three weeks, but it's really been two weeks.

Again.. for this week, I don't think there's much of a decision. Later in the season? I could see him passing by Evans.

If they can actually run the ball. Yes. But I am not confident about this line doing anything in this game. Hope they play well but I have to admit I am prepared for the worst.
I rewatched the NFC title gm last night. I was surprised at how effectively we were able to run at times. The ypc was bad but we did support the pass game with about 70 yds net rushing. Akers had a few solid runs.

I guess my point is that I remember being stuffed all day but it wasn’t terrible. It wasn’t near as bad as the Super Bowl.

The Niners are who got stuffed in the run gm all day. Reeder got beat repeatedly in both run and pass up the middle all day as well…as I’m sure many remember. The Wagner acquisition makes more sense to me now because all they do is attack the middle of the field.

Yeah going off memory admittedly it felt to me like McVay ran to keep balance and it was part of the reason we won. It wasn't effective in overall yards but it kept them just honest enough on defense.

There is every reason to think we see a big difference with Wags in there at ILB. But Shanny schemes his ass off for these Rams matchups with McVay. He's beaten us with a laundry list of shit players and mash units. So I never feel too confident going into a game vs those fucks. I figure it'll be an ugly scrum and just hope we can make the plays again.

And I'd love to be wrong and see that blowout I've been wanting for years now. But as long as they get the dub I'm good.

I have a good feeling about Bobby Evans b/c he had a practice scrimmage with the first string this week. No excuses for Evans.

It's Bobby's time to step in and step up.

McVay has to get Stafford's game going but, not with those seven-step drops. Establish the run but, not on every first down. I expect a lot of Benny Skow this week.

I think Bobby Evans steps up -- Ram's Defense stuffs the no longer dominating 49er O-Line

It would be golden if the OL and Cam Akers puts together a fine rushing effort to complement Matthew's passing game. This game, a guaranteed physical game, would be a great time for Alan Robinson to official introduce himself as a potent partner for Cooper Kupp.

How many times have we seen guys step in and make us eat crow?

How many times have these players proven that Snead and McVay don't keep guys around for no reason?

This week, Bobby Evans is going to be asked to do just enough to not be the reason we lose. He doesn't have to win the game or even every snap... he just has to know his assignment and give his best.

It's not Evans who has to find a way to make it work. That's on McVay and Stafford.
Gotta disagree there. Bobby Evans has got to do his part too to make any plan work even though McVay will probably gameplan to help him out. I agree with you on the know his assignment and give his best. Just hoping his best is good enough because he has not shown much in the past. Rams fans have a right to be extremely concerned about Evans starting. Hopefully he does come thru and does better than expected.

This is they way the Rams should go and stick with the run. Evans does have that ability and it's time to start rooting for Evans and to discount his history for the present.

Let's Go Bobby, this is your time to shine and lead Henderson & Akers to paydirt.
I'm rooting for him but I can't simply discount how he's done in the past as that's the reason many of us are super worried about him starting. I'm praying to any and every God, fictional and non fictional to let Bobby shine.

I don't think playing with Stafford means nearly as much as playing the last four years with the guys on the current line and in the system.
If Oday had been an all pro or something? Sure.. but he was a journeyman who won a starting job on a pretty mediocre line last year.
And.. yeah, I wouldn't make Jackson move.. that side of the line is working now.

I've been wrong plenty.. but I just don't see Evans getting passed, yet, by Oday.
O'Day will probably eventually pass Evans but the familiarity with our system works in Evans favor here. We need to beat the 49ers to help widen our grip on the NFC West. Let's fucking kick their ass Rams!!!!

Bobby Evans is lineman #9 on this team. Perspective.
Hence why it wouldn't surprise me if the Whiners attack that part of the line hard. I'm sure Evans will have some bad moments. The key is can he limit those moments. I honestly don't know and I'm hoping he can have the game of his life.

It can take offensive linemen a few years to figure it out-- maybe that's Bobby Evans

Time for Evans to reward the Rams for their faith in him.

Go get’em Bobby!

I'm concerned for his health.. and I do think there's a chance he's out for a long, long while. The way he was talking, who knows? Maybe he walks away.

Edwards was really concerned about his concussion status PRIOR to the Cowboys game. So I can only imagine he must be even more concerned now. Here's a link to an article which includes some of Edwards' thoughts about concussions:
