Michel is the guy. Funk should get some touches. I wonder what they do, roster-wise. Need a legitimate backup.

He's OK, but very evident he's a good complementary back, but not a primary back. And that's why I love they got Michel.

Nah, he's a complementary back. Explosive but isn't a guy you expect to grind down a defense and get the tough yards.

Michel is probably closer to an every down back but at the end of the day we'll need both of those guys to produce to have a decent running game this year.

I'm interested to see Funk get a little action as well.

That Michel trade is looking mighty wise right now.

Wonder if we pick another vet RB up, or if we are happy with Funk at back up, whilst Hendo is feeling tender?

Yeah, love what he can do when he can stay healthy, but the one ability he doesn't appear to have it durability. I would try to get Michel more integrated into the O and let him be the grinder we need and bring in Hendo to get his touches and hopefully break one for a big gain. His ability to do that is where he adds the most value.

Just want to point out this is not new information. He's demonstrated that over and over and over.

He is a change of pace only back. A rotational guy. Michel knows how to get what is there and how to move the chains and going forward he's gonna help us a ton. I just hope he can stay healthy.

We're not out of the woods yet but Michel fits this offense like a glove. A tough back who can maximize yards is enormously complimentary to McVay's scheme.

I was confused by those who weren’t worried Henderson was our primary back. Guy is not a 1 and can’t stay healthy. The silver lining is in very curious to see how Funk respondes to this opportunity. I doubt he is anything but if I hope to hell I’m wrong and he’s a great change of pace 3rd down back for Michel.

I almost think there doesn’t even need to be a “feature back”. Let them split carries and increase the odds they got as much gas in the tank as possible for Dec/Jan.

The Rams will need help talent wise and scheme wise in the run game IMO. That's a lot of shotgun snaps for me. Funk can operate out of that, but Michel needs a pro set from what I have seen. This concerns me.

I was hoping for some reports on his health rather than just another I told you so thread.

I'd prefer Sony get the bulk of the carries anyway. Hope Hendo is okay. My armchair speculation looked like ribs.

I think Funk will be fine as a backup/rotational option. He doesn't have Michel's power but he runs behind his pads real nice and has good vision.

It's kind of fucked up though tbh that Hendy dropped so quick. And the worst thing here is that we have to be on pins and needles with Michel and Funk too.

If it's me I'd clear a spot on the PS this week and add the available RB out there that I like the most to it. If Hendy is seriously hurt or gonna miss time of course they'll probably sign someone but best case is he's ok and rejoins us in a week or so as a rotational guy that he is.

I wonder how his blitz and pass blocking is at this point? Good thing he’s got used to two games now where we won’t be totally intimidated now.

At worst - imho - he has a cracked rib - at best - bruised ribs

He wasn't holding his stomach like AD was last year so I only think he will be out a couple games.

AD - you saw the pain

He is an "every down back." What he isn't is an "every game back."

I hope its not a toughness (or lack thereof) issue, and I really hope he's able to play next week.

Yeah and tbh he strikes me as a smart player so hopefully at this point he's just gotta stick his head in there where it's needed. If he's confused then that's gonna be an issue but I hope by now he's ready to go.

mcVay simply needs to change his gameplan and make Michel a part of it. They need to split downs much like Cleveland does w chub and hunt

I think Michel will be a much better back in our offense. Henderson is a good change of pace back but he lacks the ability to push a pile and take a pass and get quickly upfield.

His weakness is taking what is there over and over and gaining those tough yards. Lot of backs with big time talent are like that. He's still a good all around back just not a guy you can rely on to grind out what you need nor stay healthy doing it.
