My Dad purchased the rights to the Chicago Bears in 1920 for $100.

Stan transferred ownership to his son, not sure if they have changed that rule recently. however, I'm sure we will know more soon.
He had to change the ownership of teams only when there was a city conflict with the league. He gave Josh control of the teams in Denver because you're only allowed to own teams in other leagues if they're in the same city as the NFL team. Or the other city doesn't have an NFL team or isn't a team that the NFL considers a future site for a team.

I figured this would be posted by now but don't see it anywhere. But sale finally went through and Snyder owes the NFL $60 million in penalties from him hiding money from the other owners... oh... and sexually harassed employees but the owners didn't really care about that until they found out he stole money from them. But yeah, that dipshit is finally out. Even though he still makes over $5 billion in the sale from his original purchase price.

And because the owners know damn well that the pos can't be trusted in the slightest to pay that 60 million... they are withholding that amount from the sale at closing to make damn sure they collect every penny of it.

So last night there were a number of parties around DC held by diehard commando fans who were celebrating the ouster of the asshat scumbag.

Josh Harris got word about these parties so guess what he did?

He called each of the establishments where the parties were being held and paid for a beer for everyone who was there.

Fucking SOLID.

That's awesome. I actually hope he is successful in the NFC East at least... not NFC overall lol. But would be nice if another team crowded out the Cowboys and Eagles competition wise.

Yeah... there was a time when those fans were considered to be the best in the league. Supposedly back then there was a waiting list with thousands on it who wanted to buy season tickets... but it took years for anyone on the list to have the chance to buy one. The fans would never sell... they would leave their season tickets in their wills to family members and never let them leave the family. It was crazy. Young people today would never believe it.

My Grandfather was a Skins fan as he grew up in Chesapeake Bay. That always kinda disgusted me. Especially when the Skins put that royal ass whipping on us in the playoffs when ED was running wild for us. That was the worst! I became fully disgusted after that with his Fandom.

Years later... a girl I was close with in HS went on to become a Skins cheerleader. Pre Snyder. She got me into a few games at RFK. Those were the only non Ram games I have ever attended in the NFL. That's only because we became friends with benefits then. We have the exact same birthday... so obviously she became too old for me. LOL. She works for Homeland Security now.

Anyway... I have a weird connection to that team by no choice of my own. I hate them, but their great fan base deserves so much better than that scumbag. It's really a sale that the whole league needs to celebrate together.

What? lol

I've been called so many things/names... but some stuck and are nicknames now. My actual first name is George. Many like to call me Jorge (Spanish pronunciation) and that stuck. But... Jorge did morph into Hey-Whore. Remember the show Cheers?... when Norm came into the bar everyone would yell "Norm". Well... there was a certain bar/pool hall that sponsored my old softball team. We all pilled into that place on Thursday nights directly after our games. When I walked in... "Hey-Whore". Good times. That name hasn't been accurate for many years now... but I still hear it sometimes unfortunately.

Personally Id like to say "fuck Dan Snyder", but that what his front office told the cheerleaders to do.

They should have went with "Washington Command" then tapped into the classic Army drab green look with white and gold as secondary colors. If it was me that would be the name and I'd go with the classic white 5 pointed star in a circle on the helmet just to piss Jerry Jones off.

That would have been better, but I heard that they wanted to keep the same color scheme.

I think they should have named the team the "Hogs". Hopefully they will change it to that now.

I would like for Washington to return to the name "Redskins." And bring back that iconic helmet that Sonny Jurgensen wore.
Still remember Jurgensen throwing it to Charley Taylor and Jerry Smith.
They are a lot like the Rams; both organizations had awesome colors and helmets that were downgraded by changing them.
