What? This was a total brainer ...
It's not like you guys were calling this all the way back to last season or anything...

$4mil for Schwartz
$7 mil for drafted players
$4mil leftover....

$5m for the draft - coulda sworn I saw JT say somethin like this... $4m for schwartz? eh I was thinking around $3m but who knows. Chargers just resigned their LG , 2 years $6m

That doesn't include the money needed to sign the draft picks. $8-9 million probably depending on trade downs and trade ups.

Rams also don't tender mcneil

With the strong 2013 performance of the 6-4 260 pound Cory Harkey in the run blocking and surprising ability to catch & run??? The need of McNeil evaporated.

I have also heard that the Rams like this H-back/fulback/TE Justice Cunningham a bunch & he is already under contract 6-3 258 pound 23 yr old.

Do you mean trading back and taking Robinson/Matthews at 6, then trading back up from #13 to grab Watkins?

Yeah exactly, come away with both the number 1 OT and number 1 WR and then grab a FS in the second, I can dream.

I was confused by that too. I could get behind taking Watkins (maybe) if we also took one of the top O-linemen first.

$3mil would be fine by me lol, and with Gators post, looks like it could be like this

$3mil for schwartz
$9mil for draft

$3mil right now for Verner, not counting what McNeill counts for. Demoff will find a way if they really want Verner.

I hope they bring him back on the cheap. He, if nothing else, would be a terrific leader and teacher to whomever we bring in

At the end of the day we need to upgrade the line. If we can do that with the release of Dahl, and letting Smith and Saffold walk so be it. I'm all for being thrifty and getting younger but at some point you run the risk of outsmarting yourself.
I trust in Fish & Co. - we'll get it done somehow:bueller:

Harvey Dahl was listed as failing the team physical for the Rams upon release.

I agree Ky Ram Snead-Demoff-Fisher are getting it done greatly from all the moves they have completed thus far..... batting 1000% IMO. I would bet I am sure to fall off the bar-stool soon forsure....

That was sorta expected bicep tears- bad 3rd grade knee sprain & same lower leg surgery to top ankle?? I wish we could bottle his passion and give it to the younger OL'ers.:goodluck:

Well the players who were signed in the position we're drafting this year cost between $9m and $10m.

Last years teams that signed players in our position are as follows for cap hit of 2013 so I figure it'll be around the same amount:

2. $3,854,836
13. $1,828,000
44. $859,331
75. $564,375
106 $523,172
141 $455,493
172 $436,279
203 $424,670

Total of $8,946,156
However this assumes we dont trade up or down, either way I think if we trade we'd be saving cap hit if anything...

This is kind of what I expected to happen, and I doubt they'll cut loose from Wells with so many changes elsewhere on the line.

Especially with the center being the quarterback of the offensive line.

But to agree with KY, in Fisher I trust.

Do you want to try adding up again?
