It's their D that I'm most concerned with tbh... I know we can fight it out with any O in the league, but that Bears D could cause us problems... but I keep saying if we want to win the SB, we just have to beat everyone, treat each team with the respect that they deserve, because on any given Sunday, ANYTHING is possible!!
I want to see a team stop our offense for a few drives or maybe for the whole first half. I want to see how mcvay and Goff react . I love the scoring but I doubt we see 54- 51 in the playoffs.

So you'd risk a loss to see how McVay/Goff react to adversity?

Just, no.

Did you see the Packers game?

I think I've heard McVay admit that it was a mistake to rest the players against the 49ers last season...
Well if that’s the case, we should forfeit every bye and play anyway. Lol. IMHO we lost because we weren’t used to the playoff atmosphere, the bright lights so to speak, the team choked. It happens. The field was a nightmare for both teams but seems to have affected us more especially Pharoh Cooper.

I think we drop one to the Lions or Bears. Lions always seem to have our number when we're dominant and play them late in the season. That's a 1pm EST game, too.

But last year after the bye, we put up 50+ on the Giants so who knows haha.

Rams are going to light up the Lions, they don't stand a catch. Bears will be a tough challenege.

Not likely that we have a chance to consider resting starters this year. We are not going to have home field advantage nailed down against the Saints even if we keep winning and they lose a game. The Saints need to lose two games for the Rams to have a real lead, and even then it would not be secure until the last game because of the tie breaker in their favor.

Saints only need to lose one game and the Rams win out. They both have one lose. Saints lose and that's two for them.

Right, but if they lose one it isn't enough to rest our starters. We lose another and they win the tiebreaker.
We couldn't sit starters for the last game unless we were up by two losses on them going into the game.

Lions up next. Rams should be ready and healthy with a week off. McVay will still be game planning right away. Still have to come to play hard.

The Bears will be a good test. Another team that can get after the QB. It will be interesting how McVay attacks Mack. Run at him and passes to Gurley. Sully will have his hands full with DT Akiem Hicks. It will be cold so funny things could happen to the ball. A running QB will test the defense. This one is no give me.

Gotcha. Missed the resting starter part..Dah!

Yeah, just don't think we'll have to worry about resting starters this year. Although hopefully we can overtake the Saints for home field. But we should have a bye week no matter what and that will be much better than playing a game with subs which the players still have to prepare for.

The Bears are a year away from being a real threat in the playoff race but they are certainly dangerous to any team. They've got a good defense beyond just Mack and can cover well. And their offense is coming in to its own. They are by far the team I worry about the most losing to. Lions are pretty dinged up and not very good and the Cards, Whiners suck so screw them. Eagles still have talent and won't be pushovers either. Those two SNF games will determine our seeding in the NFC.

It's funny I was telling some friends who are Bears fans during their loss to Green Bay to start the season that their team has a real shot at making the playoffs and none of them believed me. Hopefully for them Trubisky's shoulder isn't a lingering thing.

They'll have a bye once the bears can't catch them but not before..And I don't even think about resting anybody as long as home field throughout is still up for grabs...

It's the one thing I enjoy about Bellicheat.
His clear impatience and disdain for the media is great.
I like how the reporters always seem to stumble on their words when trying to ask Belicheat a question.

And Tarik Cohen is going to run all over our asses.

I just go back and forth on the Bears Defense also. I mean they look good, and they have some great players, but who have they really shut down? The only teams they kept under 20 points were:
Jets
Bills
Seahawks
Cardinals
Bucks

Now, I am not saying that their D isn't great, I just can't really tell.
