how did you feel when martz left warner on the field against the giants in 2003? warner looked like a zombie in the first half there from what i saw in the highlights. left him out there against the ferocious giants line and kept calling pass plays.

.
there was a lot of passing plays too IIR - i guess less was known about the effects of concussion etc back then, that's not defending Martz att all - you know when someone is not fit to play

I had a lot of respect for Fisher, even when we were losing, but this one act really made me feel sick. Case should never have been on that field after being concussed.
Same here, I was feeling ill watching him out there like that.

The NFL fantasy lineup optimizer just took Diggs out of my lineup and put Kupp in. So apparently not only does the app expect Kupp to play, it also expects Wood's and Kupp to do better than Diggs. I thought that was weird, but good.

well since Patrick Peterson will be shadowing Diggs, I would say any other WR would be a better option

but I am 0-4 in FF so far so what do I know

And he gave the lamest excuse after the game. Case looked like a drunk staggering home on the field. I couldn't believe he was out there. His slow reaction time ultimately cost the rams the game as he got sacked and lost the ball.

.
Fisher rarely looked like he had total command of what was going on in the game - he probably didn't even notice.
It was like he was overwhelmed at the speed of what was happening.

McVay appears very aware of his surroundings and what's going on.

I can't respect a coach who leaves a player hanging out to dry... Martz was certainly one (Warner example cited, but I also recall him exposing Cutler badly). And one of the most egregious examples was Shanahan with RGIII. Not concussion, but he was clearly hurt and Shanahan left him in anyway.

These are selfish people who are only thinking about their own success... not the players.

I do not see McVay being anything like that. (y)

Yeah, that was maybe the worst thing I've seen in the NFL.

Even the dirtiest of plays can only happen once. Martz sent a competitor out there and put him explicitly into a position to fail so that he wouldn't have to explain sitting a 2 time MVP for his new pet project.

Martz is persona non grata as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, Martz knew Warner was concussed which makes Martz a real SOB.

The thing with Shanahan was that I dunno if he realized exactly how bad the field was. Lots of QBs have toughed out knee issues... Rodgers is doing it now.

However, where Shanahan deserves to be rightly criticized is that he didn't restrict him to the pocket. If a guy has a flat tire, you don't go racing around corners on the rim. So Shanahan is responsible, but at no time did I feel that Shanahan was trying to see RG3 get injured.

Martz was actively trying to end Warner's career, an undertaking which he attempted several times in various ways.
