he said the gsot wouldn't even be the best offense in the nfc west right now.

what?

the gsot would score 50 points in the first half alone right now. can't touch the wrs, can't touch the qb. can you imagine kurt warner with the rules today? bruce and holt? hakim? marshall out of the backfield?

fuck that clown.

Yeah with today's rules Tom Brady doesn't win that first SB.

Pretty sure he meant statistically not if they were playing today.

Respectfully disagree. Compared to his colleagues, I find Cowherd to be very well spoken, prepared with his take (even though I may disagree) and informative. He’s also one of the few that regularly admits when he was wrong.

I get what he was trying to say in that the numbers they put up wouldn't be as crazy by today's standards, but your point is 100% correct. The GSOT might score 700 points a season in today's league.

Saying ridiculous stuff is part of the job description, they all do it to varying degrees. Cowherd makes rational arguments sometimes but sometimes he’s out there in Skip Bayless crazy land.

His show is the only one I can watch.

Speak for yourself? That's a good cop/bad cop show. If there's no controversy, we'll invent one.
Undisputed? Skip love the Cowboys first and Brady second. Just once I'd like to see Shannon slap him.
First take? No thanks
GMFB? Without Burleson it just doesn't have the same pop. I like the segment "angry runs". And since NB left, Carter is pretty good as well as Shaun O'Hara.

I really like Carter's takes. Don't always agree with him but he's got a good head on his shoulders IMO.

Cowherd is hit and miss. He's not in Eisen's class because he likes to push the envelope on shit. But that also makes him worth a listen, even though he'll sometimes say shit just to stir the pot. Like the GSoT comment.

The best thing about Eisen is his Jets rants, followed closely by his Michigan rants.....I still go back and watch this rant from last year about the Jets losing out on Trevor Lawrence.... lol.

None of these talking heads really bother me saying negative stuff about the Rams. If everyone only heaped praise on them all year it would feel strange, like it was phony and undeserved.

I've seen too much praise backfire, and too much negativity inspire.

Cowherd is one of the few to be consistently positive about the Rams.

And the guy is pretty much the ONLY media personality that told the Saints and their fans to get over it after the no call and that they still had a chance to win.

So, no. All Rams fans should like, if not love this guy. He's my favorite to watch.

Guys, the GSOT revolutionized the offensive side of the ball. They played antiquated defenses that didn't know what in the eff was coming.

Defenses have had 22 years to adjust.

I think he has a valid point.

I also think that point doesn't diminish the GSOT in any way.

Just my 2 cents. :)

cowherd...

probably the best talking head.. period...

his takes are always stated with facts.. you may not like them, but as i said, always with facts to back them up...

it's the research that keeps him listenable... he never goes with what's trending, unless the facts or the eye test confirms..

cowherd is pretty good...

On the other hand I find someone like Bayless extremely biased, annoyingly over the top, easily rattled and weak on his takes. I want to come through the TV screen whenever he’s on which distracts from anything he is saying. For his sake, I hope his regular beat downs by Shannon Sharpe are scripted (like the Harlem Globetrotters over the Washington Generals) because otherwise hes just plain pathetic.

They played the best defenses that those years had to offer. Maybe not the actual trans with the number 1 defense each year, but they posted the defenses that were sitting schematically at the time. It's not like they had some advantage other offense didn't have... Other than multiple Hall of Famers on offense.
