Again, maybe I just dont hear it from other teams because I dont give a rats ass about them. But there is a rather unsettling list of players who are unhappy in how they were moved out from the Rams

Kupp is the kind of player you build with. Always the professional and the anti diva receiver. So gonna miss this player. Appreciate everything he gave for this team. Will root for him where ever he lands.
The Rams feel Kupp is declining; he disagrees. Sometimes the player is the last to know.
He wouldn't have been the elite player he was if he didn't have a score to settle in this situation. Doesn't mean the Rams are wrong.

He still had Kupp there as a Coach, Morale is taken a hit and he hasnt even been traded yet. Just look at the players responses. Kupp Has something to do with at least 50% of Nacuas production.

I think its more common than we know. Living in Boston, every Patriot player that leaves is very similar to what I see with the Rams, in fact probably worse in NE. I live here so I hear the talk radio and all that crap. Player here get bashed all the time, much worse than I have ever seen the the Rams. For the rest of the league I dont pay enough attention to know either.

Very good take. I’m still processing the emotional part of losing of Kupp. So I will be jumping in on anyone disrespecting Kupp. Dude was the ultimate “We not Me Ram”.
I had the pleasure of watching Kupp and the Rams play the Pats in Boston this year. Kupp was a stud in that game. So glad I got to see it live. Also - respect to Gillette Stadium and Pats fans. Much nicer than I expected from both.
McVay is very unlikely to leave the slot production, which is key to his offense, in the hands of a midround WR who got hurt and was not available last year when Kupp went out. Won't say no chance of that happening. But it's damn near that.
And nothing against Whittington. I like how he looked later in the season. But he's a darkhorse right now for that role.
Rams will probably add a TE for Kupp's "role" which will add some size which Stafford seems to prefer. That way you can call Whittington the slot, but Rams will be in a lot of 12 sets on key downs and/or will have that pass catching TE running Kupp's routes.
If they don't get the TE early or immediately after a trade down then they are going to look at guys like Bech or Restrepo. Both of whom will likely compete with Whittington in camp for that role if they are the pick. And to be quite honest either will likely beat him out for it as well.
Rams are willing to pay dudes who earn it, but they expect top production and when they don't get it that means you're gone. I am fine with that approach, though I would prefer in some cases that they handle things like they did with Jones. Move his ass and avoid the situation.
But with Kupp he deserved that payday. And probably was unlikely to ever live up to it. But the Rams paid him and I respect the hell out of that, as well as the tough decision being made when it had to be made.

In my mind, I believe that I can play basketball like I did in my early 20s, maybe even better because I'm wiser right now. My performance on the court says differently.

Didn't the Rams pay Kupp early because of his performance on the field? I wonder if they were hoping he would reciprocate at the other end of his career. Damn, I want Kupp to stay to keep producing as he can and to mentor the next crop. I believe Puka is a better player because of Kupp's guidance.

But he should have taken less to stay a Ram. These players go for all the money they can, strike when its hot so to speak.
But its a double edged sword too. You have to earn than money and injuries happen.
Kupp, the last two years still could play. But defenders were very close when he got the ball. He was not breaking any ankles anymore.
He could have been targeted more the last half of the season too.
The whole thing sucks IMO.

Not surprised. Boston folks get a bad rap sometimes. We are a little direct and in your face, but that usually means we like you. Totally in if you get nicknamed....like douche, butt head, idiot face. Glad you had a good experience, sad you had to go to the bowels of Massachusetts which is where Gillette is located.
Never been to Boston. Only the airport in New York. So I don't have any personal experience there. But a co-worker of mine decided to take a vacation to the east coast and spend time in New York and Boston. He said if he ever does that trip again he won't go to New York. According to him Boston was not only a cleaner town, the people there were much nicer.
One of my aunts on my mom's side lives in Boston, along with her husband. Brilliant, talented, and genuinely compassionate lady. She wasn't born in Boston, but she considers herself a Bostoner, and I've visited more recently than Houston (where my other aunt on my mom's side lives).
It's a nice clean city from everything I've seen. I just don't understand why anyone would want to pay a damned toll to cross a certain part of the highway, every single time.
