No it's not! I had to put in a lot of time, effort and money. Do you think Clown College is inexpensive?!?!

The make-up alone is a financial burden. The good stuff ... not the off-the-shelf crap @Loyal uses.

I didn’t read all of this thread but do most people think we have our Kupp replacement in Whittington or do most think we'll sign a FA replacement or draft a guy high in the draft? or maybe do 2 or 3 of the possibilities I listed

Rams will definately draft an X WR in first 3 rounds. I think Whitt can start at slot but I see the Rams adding a starting WR thru FA as well. I see TE in first 3 rounds as well. So Nacua, Whitt, Rookie, FA, DRob, XSmith/Rookie at WR. Higs, DAllen, Rookie at TE.

Whittington is a different player than Kupp and certainly not as good. But he'll most likely play most of his snaps at F like Kupp and do similar things to him. He won't have the size to block like Kupp, nor his speed or change of direction skills. Whittington though is a slippery runner and will be able to offer things as a runner and with the ball in his hands that Kupp couldn't.

Unless I’m getting back good draft capital (3rd or 4th+), I’d just keep Kupp for another year with staff and cut/trade him next year. Just not enough cap savings this year. Let the two go out together one last year. Draft a deep threat WR day 1-2 and let him learn from the best while not being forced into an immediate impact his rookie season

Exactly. We sure as hell better not give him away for a 6th or something. That is foolish. When healthy, dude can ball with the best of them.

Agreed. There is no savings in trading Kupp this year and he’s still a very useful receiver.

If it was up to me it would have to be a high enough pick to make the dead money worthwhile. I’d at least want a third.

Listening to McVay on the Fitz/Whitt show Kupp is no longer a part of the team plans going forward.

Unfortunately, at best they will pay his signing bonus and get back only a 6th/7th

Kupp is a class A player and person. He may no longer be a WR1 but he’d be a hell of WR2/WR3 that can mentor young WRs. I want him to stay a Ram but he would have been a great add to the Commodes. Instead they went “Meebo”.

Yeah, Kupp is a lead by example player. Coach on the field.

I am holding out hope some wild pay reduction is worked out and somehow he stays.

So MUCH hoping for this. I REALLY don't want Kupp going ANYWHERE. It felt so hopeless before the Stafford agreement. But now, I'm probably hoping against hope that they work something out now with Kupp. I realize there MAY be better options out there or maybe even on our own team. But Kupp is meat and potatoes. You need meat and potatoes sometimes. And Kupp is part of OUR meat and potatoes. This is now the only news I want to hear about. I realize Kupp maybe gone. But I sure as fuck hope not. He means just way more to the team than his cap space would suggest. We're better with Kupp - PERIOD.

Maybe this means that the Rams are asking more than a late 5th for Cooper Kupp. Kupp had a better season that Deebo.
