It was more personal with Sum1. His family had a business basically in the Dome with the Rams... so the move not only took his team, it ended his family's business. I may be a little off with that... but that's what I remember with my aging brain cells. Pretty sure I'm dead on with that basic description though. That had to be extremely difficult.

Sum1 actually came to my 1st tailgate in Tampon for ROD like in 2010. He was down here from The STL. He broke his arm the night before the game celebrating a Missouri Football win. I think he did a Buffalo Bill Mafia style wrestling move on his rental car's windshield. He came to the tailgate with his arm in a sling. LOL

He's a cool guy and has a great wit. We lost a great teammate when we lost him. At least we get a drive-by like this from him when the team does well. It let's me know he's still kicking.
Oh man.......

Thanks for the back story G. If that would have happened to me and my family I could easily see how that would have made a difference for me. More than just a childhood memory for certain.

I hope you and your family are doing well @Sum1.

To all you crazy fucks from the STLtoday days...congrats on finally getting that trophy back.

I still hate Kroenke but the Rams themselves I've gotten to basically disinterest/apathy towards.

Hope you all are doing great!
Thanks, that was classy of you. I live in Montana, been a Rams fan since the George Allen days, so followed them to St. Louis and back. I reveled in both Super Bowls. Anyway I hope you’re doing great as well.

I was born in Billings where much of my father's family still reside.

Something special there is someone from Montana here.

That was him. He really was a crack up.
Exactly. Yeah, RadRacerRams was IMHO the wildest and most unhinged poster on the old PD board(and that's saying a lot, cuz there were plenty of crazy characters back then). Yeah, RRR used to post in all caps and make wild claims about how he was fantastically rich and had a big fleet of motorbikes and sports cars (even though it was pretty obvious he was barely literate and lying through his teeth). Biggest whopper is that he somehow agreed to meet a poster in person to prove his great wealth and do this big dirt-bike jump over a canyon somewhere (Evel Knievel style), and then he of course never showed up. (Claimed he had an emergency business meeting or some such obvious BS cover story)

Man, that PD board was a loony bin.

Wasn't he the guy who claimed to be rich and had all the answers or was that someone else? Typed in all caps?
Yup. Speaking of which... anybody remember this one poster who came up with two accounts and user-names, and then he'd write these posts of lavish praise back and forth, saying how smart and eloquent the "other poster" was (even though it was just him talking to himself?). I can't remember the poster name and the "alias" account, but he kept persisting on the weird self-praise even after everyone called him out. Frickin weirdo...

Stl Today..... I remember the camp reports on Donald. Un block-able one on one. Man amongst boys.
All true.
Where I had to bitch about what Georgia did to us.
Where the "draft" was the best thing ever......because we needed a ray of hope.
Gone baby gone.

I remember that was suspected of "romannc" (or whatever) and "namor". They did that quite a lot.

Who was the guy who started out great doing camp reports than got edgier and crankier and would not allow any disagreement or challenge to his ‘expertise’ And generally became....a problem? I think he used a lot of ellipses....is he on this board?

Wonder if you're thinking of zn.

Smart, detailed, passionate fan... but had a bad habit of getting into personal arguments

Claude Crabb was another great character....

Yeah, there were definitely a couple posters who did this "creating two accounts in order to agree with myself" weirdness.

And then several others were suspected... leading to paranoid finger pointing and false accusations... good times! :zany1:
