Thought I’d start a thread about upsets in college football.

So far, the only one I’m aware of is FSU upsetting Bama. Any others?

Boise got embarrassed because they didn’t try to upgrade from their 5’8” quarterback. :eyeroll:
Yeah. They got spanked pretty good. Not sure you can blame that total ass whoopin all on the QB. But USF generally has a history of playing pretty well as underdogs. Still, I don’t think Boise deserved to be ranked.

I blame EVERYTHING on that little dwarf!

No, but agreed, that initial ranking was just based on last year. Without Jeanty they may just become pretty ordinary. Damn. My daughter’s senior year, too. This is going to put a damper on parents weekend against New Mexico :laugh1:

Army was in the top 25 last year and opened up with a loss to a school I had never even heard of
Tarleton State?
Huh???

Looks like KU is gonna beat the brakes off Mizzou this weekend! Even @Memento and Cody Schrader agree!

3 or 4 top 25 lost last week
FSU over Bama
So FLA over Boise
LSU over Clemson
Miami over ND

Being a Fresno alum I always pull for the Bulldogs. I don't even know what kind of coach Matt Entz is. But his coaching on the final drive was a head scratcher.

First and ten near the Oregon State 30 yard line. They have a good kicker. 38 seconds left. OSU has two timeouts. 3 straight short sideline passes completed. Stopped the clock being forced out of bounds each time. Coulda ran straight up the middle and force Oregon to use their timeouts. Then coulda ran the clock down a couple seconds before kicking the game winner.

Kicked a 43 yard field goal with 28 seconds left. Fortunately they a got pick six to seal it. But that was some poor coaching throwing sideline passes when you want to use clock. Oregon State had a lot of wide open receivers the previous two drives resulting in touchdowns.
