Even though I live in Columbus, I normally partake in the Browns bashing. But it's almost kind of like a little brother...you can make fun of him, but nobody else can...
Most Browns fans did NOT want them to draft Manziel. In fact, I don't know a single one that was legitimately happy about it. They saw this coming from a mile away.
As far as their fanbase is concerned. It's a heck of a lot more impressive than the Cowboys. It's probably the most impressive in the country. There actually are Browns fans from other states...probably not Pittsburgh, Green Bay or Dallas - but there are quite a bit. Probably a good bit in Florida, just like they giant Ohio State sections of stores and bars dedicated to OSU fans down there - the retirees transplant down there and take their love with them. A coworker from Jersey told me he once went to a Browns game in the 90s from Jersey to Cleveland, taking a flight. The entire plane was filled with Browns fans.
The Cowboys are still full of bandwagon fans. Our resident Cowboy fan seems like a true fan, and it sucks when fans like him get grouped in with the masses, but that's about where the Cowboys are with their fans.
