Suggestions? Why draft we need someone who is more experienced to show the crew we got now the ropes. Need vet CBs that still got it. Our DBs need a mentor on the field that can push and motivate.

I would go after a guy like Alonte Taylor and then draft a guy in the first 2 rds and one later. Maybe even bring back McCreary if they like his upside in this system. He never really found a role last year due late addition and rhen injury. Can he find a role if they keep him?Suggestions?
I’m just saying that drafting a green CB prospect isn’t going to help our situation now. Alontae Taylor would be a good addition gots the speed. Hell throw in Rasul Douglas also. At 31 he still may have a few more years but he got the experience.Suggestions?
Oh I certainly agree with having somebody proven back there. That’s why I included acquiring someone via trade/FA. A draft pick alone might not be enough to even fill the roster if nobody gets re-signed and a couple get released. Why draft we need someone who is more experienced to show the crew we got now the ropes. I agree on McCreary; and I also like Taylor. However, looking at the current group of cornerbacks scheduled to hit free agency, makes me think most (including Taylor and Durant) will get WAY-over-paid.I would go after a guy like Alonte Taylor and then draft a guy in the first 2 rds and one later. True, but if you want an omelette, you have to crack some eggs. So it is what it is.I agree ... and I like Alontae Taylor too.
Just think the free agent CB-market looks thin; and that means players will get way-over-paid.

Oops. Sorry about that. Re cornerbacks... we still have McCreary and Forbes for experience and would also consider signing Witherspoon for one more season. I know he had a bad year but he was injured most of it. I would also draft two more within the first 4 picks and call it a day. Maybe a third to develop. He said Bryce Young
McCreary is a FA. So we don't really have him. They have to go get him.Oops. Sorry about that. I thought you and me had some convos and him last year, but then I thought "maybe that was memento". I guess it was both lol. I'm big on drafting Love as well. If we get enough corner help in free agency, I might even go Love and Conception in round one.Lol, its funny you mention Burden as I was big on him and so was Momento. Too many kept dwelling on the dumb ass practice reports when the guy was literally never in the news for anything bad. We really missed on him as YAC monster. He's got stop and go you can't teach and we sorely lack. Imagine if we didn't miss on him and had a chance at Tyson.....gawd damn, talk a about resetting the WR core. I hope we do nab Tyson if he falls. If that happens then you go get the DB from San Diego St. If we can't get Tyson because he's drafted earlier, the only others I would consider would be Tate or Love (probably both gone). At that point draft DB first then either target KC Conception (good YAC and kick/punt returner too) at that 2nd 1st pick or Brazzell in the 2nd.
Could have been both of us discussing that with you, but I guess I remember Momento because of the Missouri love lol.....I like the way you're thinking there. Adding legit speed with those 2 if we get Stafford back with Adams would be insane for defenses to contend with. I agree that I'd only do that of we get the CBs covered in free agency.I thought you and me had some convos and him last year, but then I thought "maybe that was memento". I guess it was both lol. Why you gotta interrupt a man on a roll.He said Bryce Young
Yeah. I love our offense, but I do get tired of everything relying on perfect execution. We need some home run hitters who can just turn a small play into a long TD.Could have been both of us discussing that with you, but I guess I remember Momento because of the Missouri love lol.....I like the way you're thinking there. Exactly....if we get those it makes it easier to get defenses to make mistakes when they are threatened by speed by over committing.Yeah. I love our offense, but I do get tired of everything relying on perfect execution. We need some home run hitters who can just turn a small play into a long TD.
I think the Rams were fooled into a false sense of security about their secondary after 16 sacks in last years playoffs against a ghost seeing Darnold, and Hurts, who couldn't throw the ball in the snow.Just looking over defensive rankings during McVay's tenure, the best was Brandon Staley going #1 in yds, #1 in points allowed back in 2020.
The next highest in yards was #13 in 2019 and #17 in 2025 & 2021
The next highest in points allowed was #10 this year, followed by #12 in 2017.
I'm not going to sell Shula short. Get a few more pieces this off season and hopefully, we'll get closer to that Staley D.
That's the odd thing. They were #7 in the NFL in sacks with 47. They were shutout 3 times and held to just 1 sack 3 other times. So in 11 games they had 44 sacks. That's 4 per game. And btw, they went 4-2 in those 6 games with 1 or none. Strange indeed.I think the Rams were fooled into a false sense of security about their secondary after 16 sacks in last years playoffs against a ghost seeing Darnold, and Hurts, who couldn't throw the ball in the snow.
Now they have to address it after sneaking by the Panthers & the Bears, and then losing to Seattle despite scoring 27 pts.
