I like the fact that the Chiefs, Browns & Bears are moving inside thus protecting my beloved Rams from inclement weather in three new venues.

Actually had a Bills fan tell me, it would be too difficult to build a roof to hold up with so much snow and I asked how they were able to do in Minneapolis and even in nearby Syracuse?

Minnesota gets like 1/4th the snow of Buffalo, some years 1/10th. Not sure how they manage in Syracuse, but the weight of snow is no joke, especially because we in Minnesota typically get a much drier snow than the lake effects snow they get.

Syracuse handles it just fine and the roofs can be designed accordingly. I agree about Minnesota getting less snow, but a dry snow I guess that is like a dry heat in Arizona.

If you have to shovel snow, wet snow versus dry snow is a HUGE deal.

Dry snow is light and powdery and actually fun to shovel. Wet snow is back breaking and legit heart attack inducing because it’s so much heavier.

Dry snow you can just push out of the way with a shovel. Wet snow will have you spending thousands of dollars on the biggest snow blower you can find…

The Carrier Dome in Syracuse had an air-inflatable fabric roof (you used to get blown out of the doors on your way out) but it was capable of deflating under heavy snow and was eventually replaced by a transparent, non-inflatable roof with steel cables to hold it up.
