Nah Man. Root for the Chiefs! Put yourself into the shoes of the fans.

Chiefs' fans are living-the-dream. Lucky Bastards! Like Packers' fans of the '60s, Steelers' fans of the '70s, Niners' fans of the '80s, Cowboys' fans of the '90s and the Patriots' fans for almost 20 years.

However, fans of those teams have also known decades of misery. Some are currently feeling it.
Kansas City went 50 years between Super Bowls (1969-2019). That was literally a Lifetime for many of its fans.

Even if K.C. had lost today, their fans would be feeling OK in a day or two ... 6 straight Championship Games.

Now consider the fans of most every other quality team of recent years ... Buffalo, Baltimore, San Francisco, Green Bay, Cincinnati, Dallas. They are mostly miserable. To be so close, yet come-up short, with no Super Bowl appearances and/or no Lombardis.

Take it from a die-hard Rams' fan from the 1970s. To be really good year-in and year-out but always come-up short is Absolutely Fucking Brutal.

I don't think Eagles' fans will be feeling too good if their team comes-up short in two weeks; and that is what I am rooting for.

I'm still feeling last week's loss ... And ... My Misery wants some more company!!!

Peace Out! View attachment 69603

I just can't do it bro. Those ref loving get every call $@!^#@&..... I just can't. I hate both teams but the lesser of two evils to me I'm rooting for Philly. And if you're Philly and get beat in the SB by the same team twice in three years... ouch..

Oof, if that's the order you're going in, Godspeed!

Is he screwing every Chiefs player, coach, and front office person, then doubling down with Mahomes, Reid, Kelce, and finally, after all of that, screwing Taylor Swift?

Because honestly, it would be so much easier to just make love to Taylor. Lot less energy, lot less time, lot more payoff.

That's kind of my point right there.

By rooting for Philly, their Organization and fans will feel the same Football Fandom Ecstasy that the Chiefs have been feeling and will continue to feel even if they lose.

The Chiefs' fans ARE Living-the-Dream. THAT IS A DONE DEAL.

I don't want Eagles' fans to share it. I want them to feel the 'Ouch' you reference above.
Just like the Bills, Ravens, Lions and 49ers are dealing with it.

I'm still feeling bad about last week but I also have 2021 to savor ... and, I do!!!

I'm gobsmacked, although i shouldn't be, at how seamlessly the nfl transferred from Brady to mahommes.

Does anyone think the chiefs would be winning if the refs made decisions like they did in the bucs vs chiefs superbowl? They wouldn't have won shit.

What a difference it is for them now, getting all the calls after the golden boy retired. Long live the new golden boy.

I'd rather watch a Kamala Harris word salad speech than these 2 teams in the Super Bowl.
This is not the direction we want to go. Salad is an Off Topic discussion.

Please keep refrain from politics.

Which team is the hungriest?

I can make a case for both.

The Chiefs have some vulnerability, but it feels like the Chiefs to me. They have the glam not focused aura around them but they seem hungry to me despite all that.

Everyone says slow Barkley; the Chiefs defense is #7 best / 4.1ypc this season. Solid. Then again, Buffalo ran on them.

Barkley is literally at his peak... Dude is a stud, right here, right now. I am going to enjoy that element of the Super Bowl… this is the cherry on top his special season. People will remember this one.

I would have loved a Rams vs KC Super Bowl. I think we could have beat them.

:horns:

Soooo close!

It will be more interesting to see a non-KC team win but I can't hate on and can route for them. KC ripped the trophy away from the 49ers twice in the 4th q. Twice. And the Rams won the epic MNF game. Go KC...you have won lifetime support from this Rams fan.

My golf course is snowed out right now.
Last time it snowed here was during the ice age millions of years ago. The story in bible where it rained for 40 days and 40 nights. We got an inch.

I've just noticed that the Super Bowl countdown on ROD is wrong.

Screenshot 2025-02-01 at 07.11.39.png

That would make the game kick off at 14:00 UK time, or 06:00 Eastern.

How many penalties have they called on the Eagles so far?

The Eagles D line is no joke. I heard they’re intimidating the Chefs oline this week. If they’re not careful they’ll get flagged for Roughing the Passer’s feelings

I think the Eagles have the better roster. They're better on both lines. They have by far the better RB. And their defense has been more consistent. One of the reasons I figure McVay was so distraught is he knew if they beat the Eagles it was doable to hoist that Lombardi.

KC has the better QB and the better HC. But defense and winning the LOS can nullify both those things. So I have the Eagles winning as well.
