They won’t. Jared Verse said he did it for the Jets game last year and he’ll never do it again because he was too cold.

There was a big article on ESPN.com today about how NFL players prepare for extreme cold. And multiple players in the article said they felt like they had a mental edge over their opponent after the opponent came out for warmups with no sleeves, no nothing….only to come out for kickoff with the long sleeves and gloves. Which is exactly what McVay should tell the team. If you want to take layers off during the game because you are too hot, fine. But if you have to add layers because you are too cold, it’s going to give the opponent a mental edge.
Nice.

I hope none of our players go out shirtless for pregame because every time I’ve seen a team do that they end up getting their ass kicked
Speak for yourself!

As I'm having my morning coffee it's snowing pretty good in Chicago and 27 degrees. Today's weather forecast for Sunday is now 19 degrees with a low 0f 2 degrees with a 24% chance of snow.

To listen to the outside narrative, you’d think poor, sheltered, inferior Matthew Stafford will be playing in a blizzard, and when Caleb the Great, who TOTALLY didn’t play in college at USC, and a minute ago was a bust, before making a few plays, is impervious to the weather. Along with their lousy defense, and injured Oline and key linebacker.

Our poor Rams will come out shivering, and shaking. Glance up at he drunk meat-head Polacks, choking on Brats and beer. Screaming mean and intimidating things, And just want to go home. Poor darlings.

Man F#ck them guys. It’s on. Did they forget about our Soul Snatcher? About the toughest two guys on the field tomorrow- Puka and Verse? About Fiske, and Kobie, Landman and Young? About our SUPERIOR run game with Kyren and Blake. The blocking of KD and big Steve.

Did they not know the Rams have the #1 offense in the NFL, and Chicagos D is ranked #27?

It’s time for a beat down. Weather be damned. No 4th quarter hope. Get your fat, sausage -clogged artery ass up and head home big boy. Rams House travels.

Agree with all that, except there is more to it. As the Rams are the superior team, the cold weather (and possibly snow) is a disadvantage to the Rams, and thus an advantage to the Bears.

In these weather conditions, athletes can't perform as they normally do. The cold, the slippery field doesn't let,for example, receivers to run as fast as they usually do and cannot make cuts as they usually do. Same with running backs and any other player that's got the ball.

The poor weather conditions basically turn the superstars into regular players, because they can't do what they normally do. Since "all" the players on both teams are affected, they all become lesser, but more equal players.

Thus, it's an advantage to the Bears as the better Rams players are not so much better in these torrid weather conditions, especially if that field becomes slippery (not so much if it's just cold).

It's not fair that teams in cold weather areas do not have a dome.

This is an interesting perspective, I'm not sure I buy it but it makes a lot of sense.

I don’t buy it because it’s not like this Rams offense is full of smallish speedy skill guys like the GSOT was. Dynamic fast quick cut elusive players who thrive on turf under a roof.

This group is a more physical, plodding, possession style of skill guys who don’t necessarily gain any advantage in warm covered conditions on a fast track.
