Hate to lose, but for a moment there it looked like it was going to be another embarrassing loss on National TV.
Proud of the fight the Irish showed and now can just be proud of the season and look forward to next year!
I also cant be any happier to know that I'll never have to see Riley Leonard in an ND uniform ever gain!

Always torn when these two team play because I grew up a Notre Dame fan, but with all the years in Ohio and many Saturday's in Columbus became a Buckeye fan. I still root for both teams, when they are not playing each other and love Marcus Freeman, who played at Ohio State.

Nice to win it and although most people do not realize it, but Ryan Day is a quality individual and I am happy for him as people do not realize that many wanted to fire Woody Hayes after the 1954 season ended in the summer of 54 , but then Woody won the National Title and the saying "Three yards and a cloud of rust." was put to bed.

I really dislike Ohio State. They’ve been the biggest obstacle for Penn State success. However there is one team in college football that draws the brunt of my ire. That’s Notre Dame. There were too many years where they plucked top talent from PA, especially at Oline. If they have the slightest bit of success, then the medias slobbering over them gets out of control. Freeman finally has a top notch season and I see pundits calling him the next Sean McVay. It’s over the top on my annoyance scale.

So, as much as it pained me, I rooted for Ohio State and their strange head coach in the title game. They nearly let me down. I’m so glad they didn’t.

Interesting my Ram Brother, as you know rooted for Notre Dame until I was stationed in Dayton Ohio with the Air Force and was in Ohio for ten years and spent many Saturday's in Columbus become an Ohio State fan.

It wasn’t the first time I rooted for Ohio State. In big spots I tend to be loyal to the Big Ten conference.

I always root for the big ten as well. I even root for Michigan when playing out of conference games

out of Conference wins help everyone in the conference as far as optics go. The name of the game is recruiting and years of ESPN telling the country that the SEC is far better than any other conference affects kids opinions.

I have a pet peeve about PSU fans ripping on Franklin and the media always doubting him openly. That hurts Penn States image and hurts Franklin on the recruiting trail. He’s had some close games with Ohio State in recent years but if you don’t look at the scores, it would seem like they were all blowouts.

A seven point loss against the National Champions looks much better than a seven point loss to the runner up.

I watched the Michigan game with friends who happen to be of the entitled idiot OSU fan variety (a lot of those here in Columbus unfortunately) that were saying Ryan Day should be fired.

Which I know got some national attention - but similar to Franklin, it could be so much worse. And the thing that kills me is we have seen worse.

That Ryan Day has lost once in big ten play outside of playing Michigan (Oregon, who we boat raced then in the playoffs) is nothing short of astounding. It is wild to me how much that has been taken for granted....teams have let down games against weaker competition all the time. Not him in big ten play though.

And then the Michigan thing...prior to them winning these last four, it was getting to be a one sided rivalry.

Fans can be very unrealistic, to the point that they seem stupid.
