I have this memory of seeing the highlights of the Rams getting absolutely stuffed 50 odd points to 7 in the snow sometime in the 80's maybe? We scored the final touchdown and the bloke that caught it then slipped over onto his arse which basically summed the whole thing up. Anyone remember this or did I dream it??

I posted this in the gameday thread....but it applies here too...

I don't think the victory was nearly as 'ho-hum' as some portend. We pretty much took them to the woodshed.

Santos missed a FG. We also settled for 3 more FGs as McVay went uber-conservative, but had he opted to be more aggressive...or if we needed the points...I think we could have easily put up another 30 spot.

Meanwhile, if you take away the 7 gifted points at the end, we held them in check pretty good.

Considering it was back-to-back road games, after the knock-down drag-out fight in Seattle, and travelling to the high altitude and below freezing temps, along with some key injuries, and your typical 2018 officiating, I think it was a solid showing!

I'll spare you all my full recap and analysis, but Goff didn't play as bad as some will say. And there were some bright spots on Defense as well (not named Troy Hill).

Good Victory Rams!

Should be a full week of ice baths and massages, before we play another divisional game...no rest for the weary.

Oh right!
The Dieter Rams back when N.O and ATL were in the west.....
We got beat by the Bears....now I know why I didn't remember besides just being old
I knew Rams went 7-0 or 8-0 sometime back then. So, I looked it up. When you mentioned you didn't remember, I realized that's 33 years ago. I'm 51, but that is making me feel old now. I don't blame you forgetting after 33 years! Times a flying!

As well as Jared Goff has played, Todd Gurley served as an implicit reminder on Sunday that he’s still the engine for the Rams offense, tearing through Denver with 208 rushing yards on 29 carries.

So much of Sean McVay’s offense is based on marrying the run game to the pass game—in fact, creating run action on a high percentage of plays was one way the staff helped Goff turn a corner last year. And all of that is so much more effective with a threat like Gurley in the backfield. He’s not bad in the cold either, as it turns out.
