Funny you’d mention that being as I recall the ROD poll on whom should the Rams select was decidedly for Wentz (that is until the Rams announcEd their pick)

As I recall, most were impressed with Wentz being a big strong guy while perceiving Goff as thin and frail

Just goes to show “ya never know”

Has Wentz ever finished a regular season without missing a game?

I respect anyone who takes an NFL hit from an NFL Dlineman. That’s double tough...

Somebody check on my boy Champ, he can't be taking this news well. Especially after his en fuego start today of 1-4 for 3 yards. Kidding aside I never want to see somebody injured, gotta hope the kid can get right because from all reports he's a solid person.

I didn’t know about GOFF at that time as for his fragile look...But Wentz’s style of play got him hurt in college, and my fears were justified by him in the NFL.

Wentz has been a slow starter in games this year. I wanted to see what he could do against the Hags. He has played well in the second half of games lately.

Kinda funny how the Philly sports jocks, for the most part, put down Goff as a terrible QB. He has had some bad moments this year. They weren't afraid of the Rams.

Both Qbs are still young. Glad Goff has been healthy but, that hit would have knocked him out of the game as well. Sometimes I want Goff to take off and run when things are open. I guess in the end staying healthy is most important.

I wanted Wentz for the simple reason that the Rams had Fisher, and I couldn't see Fisher developing Goff. Wentz was more ready imo and would have fit in better with a clueless offensive HC. Fortunately, the Rams dumped Fisher and got an excellent replacement.

Yeah that @jrry32 dude was all over his jock. Wentz this...Wentz that. Kept claiming he was way better than that Goff character. :hide:

Seriously though, I seem to remember that Wentz always had those questions coming into the NFL whereas Goff was constantly being pounded behind a shitty O-line but just kept bouncing up and getting better each year.

While I really liked Wentz' physical traits and tools, Goff seemed more like a real NFL QB.

The jury is still out on both but at least Goff answers the bell even though he has arguably taken more abuse.
