Sure are.
Have you missed the times the balls have hit Rams defensive players in the hands?

You're absolutely right.. players gotta make a fucking play once in a while.
I sure have not observed too many. Other defenses have those same missed plays...that's often why these guys are on defense...yet they still create strip sacks, force fumbles, and pick off a pass or two. Then again tough to do those types of things when opponents are often catching balls like they are fair catches with a 5 yard halo around them and QBs don't get touched because they can get rid of the ball to those wide open receivers in less than 2 secs.

it's mind boggling the things he comes up with.

the defense can't play tight because the dbs are shit.

the defense can't make plays when they stay back because the dbs are shit.

what is morris doing to make the dbs better? maybe make weddle the dc, he certainly made the dbs play better.

Which would make sense if the defense was performing at a level nearly as bad as the offense.

It’s not.
Colt McCoy completed nearly 70% of his passes... with no turnovers and was rarely touched.

Bit of an outlandish thought...but, I think we may have a talent problem on this roster! :laugh1:

I have no idea what’s going on in Sean’s head. You have a backup QB who is very pedestrian and you end up throwing the ball twice as much as you run it leaves me baffled. He is definitely not a RB friendly coach. Henderson had a few nice runs on the first possession and we get a FG. The 3 next series all 3 and out passes?????? And he goes with Akers while Henderson was gaining confidence and rythym…Why throw throw throw and put the game on Woolfords shoulders? The Rookie Williams had one freakin run and got 9 yards. Mccaffrey has to be elated he didn’t come here to do nothing but blitz pickups. What is wrong with our head coach? Is he distracted? Sometimes smart people can be very impractical.

The scheme was more aggressive overall than it has been all year. But there is no denying that Morris backed off on 3rd and long and it was too easy. Players play the way they are coached. The other part was when he played aggressively he didn't change his personnel to optimize that style of play. Rochell is better than Hill or Long but he's relegated to STs. Lewis is wasted roster space but he started. Why isn't Hollins starting fulltime? Again that is Morris' decision. He's not playing his best players. He's playing his friends.

Yeah there is no denying that the Card WRs played lights out this game. What I fail to understand is that when Perkins rotated in it was only to run. The Cards stacked things up because they knew that. Perkins is taller than Wolford, at 6'3" and has a much better arm but most of all better accuracy. Why didn't McVay allow Bryce to throw? There is no way he would have played worse than Wolford. I've been saying all year that Wolford is a JAG and he proved it. Time to release Wolford and allow Perkins to be #2 QB which he should have been all along. Bryce showed he can pass in the preseason.

The announcers mocked McVay because it was Sean that persuaded Kliff to sign McCoy. If he was so good and available why didn't McVay sign him and dump Wolford?

If Stafford can't play next week it had better be Perkins not Wolford starting. One more concussion this year and Stafford may get shut down the rest of the season. So all the more reason they should have allowed Perkins to play. He's more elusive in scrambling, taller, faster, stronger arm with much better accuracy. IMO had Perkins started this game the Rams win. What Sean sees in Wolford is head-scratching. More than once WRs were open but Wolford couldn't see them.

This loss is on both McVay and Morris, plain and simple. I turned the TV off toward the end of the 4th quarter and went back to my cerveza y tacos, had great chicken and fish tacos this time. The game was giving me heartburn.

Wolford better be gone by Tuesday. Something to think about. Given Kelly Stafford's own medical history, there is no way she will want Matt to risk CTE. The Rams need to be thinking about their next QB, because given how strong his marriage is, Matt won't risk it to play if Kelly presses the issue. This is another reason to start Perkins to see what they have or don't in him.

Otherwise, Snead should sell the farm when the Huskie's Michael Penix enters the draft. This kid is the real deal, he can run and his arm and accuracy are exceptional. He made a throw last Saturday that IMO 99% of the QBs cannot make. He threw a deep ball while standing on one hash to the opposite sideline and it was an absolute dime and it got there so fast the safety couldn't react. He's as good or better than Herbert. Penix is an absolute fit for McVay's offense. He's a pocket passer who understands how to read defenses, runs about a 4.6 which is very fast for a QB at 6'3". His deep balls are accurate and he throws on time. Grab him let him sit behind Stafford for a year then let him start. Take the dead cap hit on Matt (spread over two years) knowing you have a franchise QB. He's a standup citizen and has a tremendous work ethic.

IMO there is no way I see Stafford finishing his contract. The Rams can't wait. When AD retires they will have to have a QB who can dominate a game and go head to head with guys like Josh Allen and Mahomes. He went head to head with Oregon ranked 8 nationally, and beat them passing for 26/35, 408 yards, 2 TDs 1 INT, and ran twice for 20 yds. This year so far he's passed for 286/426, 3640 yds 67.1%, 25 TDs, 6 INTs, playing in a deep strike passing offense. With Penix the SB window is open for years.

The bottom line is that Snead must be proactive. McVay should hire John Pagano as DC. This defense was built to play an aggressive 3-4 hybrid scheme, in an attacking style. Morris is playing them like a 4-3 passive defense. He rarely attacks and would rather wait for the offense to stop themselves. When he played man coverage they were finally able to get pressure. But then he would follow it up with a passive soft zone. That is what was absolutely infuriating.

Perkins is a bad QB, dude. He doesn't even look promising in the preseason. This team needs to go after a real backup.

I’m walking away from watching a game for the first time since McVay took over. It’s embarrassing how bad they are playing but the real turn off is how half the team seems to just be going through the motions (IMO that’s on McVay).
2 Super Bowls and a winning record every year is also on McVay.

The guy could be filmed fucking a goat on Miracle Mile and he'd not only get a pass from me but I'd want the goat arrested for backing into him.

Yeah butt on the other hand getting Rammed from behind & enjoying the ride.

We all have our ways. I’m a little off.I’m actually enjoying this to watch & see how Aswan Mcvay & Les Snead come out of this whole season.

It wasn’t hard to see this coming.Way worse than I thought. Think Mcvay is not as dialed in tonThe Team as I thought. Kevin O’Connell is still carrying the Leaper-con. He should be arrested for stealing The Rams MOJO.

That was a clunker.

I don’t see McVay quitting anytime soon. That would be a lame look. That’s not how he rolls.

That said, something besides injury is lacking with the offense. I don’t find myself saying “that was a great play call” often enough.

Conversely watching the Vikings vs the Bills… there seemed considerably more strategy going on. Trickery with the plays. One upsmanship.

I give them credit working Perkins in, but did the play designs fool anyone? No. The Cards sniffed those out, easily.

This offense doesn’t have room for Tutu?

Defensively, I can’t add anything that hasn’t been said. Bend don’t break is ending too often in break.

I felt super confident we’d get back to the playoffs this year. It sucks to be down this much by week 11.

Maybe but you have to know it won't be now with these guys on the team. That would be a death sentence even more by the time the draft picks make a dent these dude will be close to washed or gone.

At this point, everything should be considered. From my view, this Rams team has a lot of holes.

What sucks is Cooper Kupp getting injured against the 9ers & SOFI filled with SF 9er Fans.

What sucks is the price for Parking & how Kevin Demoff & CO sold out to Big Money & lack of tailgating to make going to the games(FAMILY) Fun.

This is what I heard before that game & what I saw on TV.

The Vikings ? A lot of luck,but
they have more talent as well.

In the Long run this might be for the best ?I have a lot more thoughts on this, but Kupp getting hurts really sucks & how hard he works(grinds).

Add AD99 hopefully keeps having fun & just does his thing.

Well The Rams got really lucky last season. In a way they were ALL IN!!

Tutu Atwell & Lance Bruss we’re not excellent picks.I will say I ALWAYS circle a player who is better than what Les Snead & Sean Mcvay select.
I’ve blown smoke up there(you know what) appreciating there draft picks.
They do an awesome job developing players.
-/The Rams need to find a young EDGE Rusher to develop.

The O’Line will be better because of all the innings 2023.

Who is the Backup QB in the future.
