In all seriousness probably not. But he sure seems to play his best when the bullshit meters are pegged against him.

In 2021 season and playoff run with everyone talkin shit about him not being able to win a playoff game he played four games for the ages to hoist the Lombardi.

The 2022 season with everyone all over his nuts he looked like dogshit, all sated and shit.

This season with everyone discounting him due to his back plus his age, he went apeshit and put up an MVP season.

So is it wrong to think maybe him getting robbed ensures we have a monster on our hands? :laugh2:

All of the Patriot and Maye fans use the "yeah but he doesn't have Puka and Adams". My arguemnt is, well, Maye also didn't face a top 3 level schedule in terms of difficulty. Then its the, yeah well, Maye was 6-0 vs common opponents so he's better.
I just laugh. Dude has had a CAKE schedule.

Yeah , brother I knew what you meant, and 100% Stafford thrives in that.


On another note, we do a great job developing our lower investment WR's X has evolved every year, Mumps has potential, needs quite a bit of work and Whit is less of a Kupp, Puka threat catching the ball but does the rest very well.

Now my question to you and my own feelings,
Do we need to invest in another WR, Tae wont be around long, TuTu is a non factor overall and likely gone.

When Tae went down we got very limited at 1b and my belief is that 10mill for TuTu should be used on another borderline starter unless we invest draft capitol

Our offense is predicated on diversity and explosives we can have very sterile periods when that is taken away

Yes. I think WR is a massive need. In particular size/speed combo for the X role, which has eluded McVay for the entirety of his time with us due to where we draft. The best big wideouts seem to always go before we're up. Same goes for those rare pass game threat TEs.

This year feels like it's going to fall in our direction. Rams will pick 13th and then late first round, and there are a handful of really big ass wideouts who look like they're going to run well enough to slot in those ranges. So I think taking one of them is important if they are going to continue forward with Stafford. He always taps the hell out of the top threats when he gets them and I am so damn tired of our depth WRs in 11. It's not another Puka or Kupp (big and elusive but wired like mini-TEs who lack elite wideout wheels) that we need. We need a big badass MFer like McMillan from last year's draft, who Stafford can feed time to time when that matchup is there or highpoint in the clutch. This year's group really has a chance to provide that for McVay.

And then I want corners. A top matchup type who can man or zone and punch the shit out of wideouts at the LOS. And then another depth/dev type who in total will change the look of our corner room.

I think the last time mcvay had a wr that was big was Sammy Watkins.

Need a starting caliber CB in R1/R2 AND a vet FA CB. Spoon and Dwill are cooked. Durant and Forbes are depth.
Then need a speed WR in R1/R2. BPA (OT, RB, DT, ILB) with remaining R1/R2 pick.

Yeah I don't disagree.

Haven't looked at the FA types but I am assuming right now that we get our CB1 in the draft. So feels like one of those top two picks and maybe we position for the selection too. Then a big dev weapon or another piece for the defense.

I want the defense juiced in this draft. It's time to make that unit elite by giving them the help they need on the back end.

To me: (IMO)

I think we need a big fullback with good hands, there have been too many instances where we have trouble on 3rd and 2 and 4th and 1 when trying to run the ball. Also having a big back coming out of the back field with a head of steam for pass can be intimidation for other teams DB's. To me that is one element that is missing from the Rams offense.

I think there will be plenty of FA DB's on the market that we can tap into.

All is good ! The Rams are in a good spot entering the Playoffs.This rookie for Carolina is a concern,but The Rams showed there CB’s might bend,but also compete even after they get beat.
McMillan & Coker aren’t that good.
—Wilson & Mcbride was a nice test to help prepare for.

Nick Scott,Rosenboom & Bobby Brown with Evero as DC shouldn’t be what STOPS The Rams Offense again !!!
