I was at the Cardinals game last week. I was able to watch him more since I could see the whole field vs. TV.

The dude is kicking ass. Almost had two picks in the game, right?

He's the opposite of Peters. He looks for the hit, like a heat-seeking missle.

Rapp is going to have a hell of a career as a Ram!

Rapp, Edwards, Evans, Long......
Guys are seeking the field.
May turn out to be another very good draft.

so what about the Henderson trade ?? The Rams liked him & gave up extra value to get him ??

Greg Gaines was traded up for as well.

jake Gervase a udrfa

Troy Reader is getting some serious playing time at MLb’er Where did The Eams get him ??

Nick Scott is a solid Special-teams guy.
You made a nice play on a fake punt it was pretty cool
The Rams coaches & scouts are sort of amazing getting players step up

To my eye, Henderson seems to be doing everything right except getting a break with a block. If our line settles in and starts creating lanes and he gets the call, look out.

His first two picks should have been for TDs he just didn't bring the initial one in. Said it before... If teams knew his coverage ability was this good he would have been off the board round 1.

Rams hit it big with him. He is gonna be a star.

Another year of experience and he's going to really get some attention.

I agree they hit it right with him for sure!

John Johnson III is on IR and our quality at safety has either not changed or improved since Rapp started, nuff said

No doubt. And consider next season...

We're gonna have JJ in his contract year and Rapp with a full year under his belt prowling that secondary. Plus Ramsey back there erasing top wideouts.

And then of course they have Weddle with 500k dead money who they can cut to gain what looks like $4.2M. Gonna be younger and better next season back there.

Reeder is contributing a lot.
The others, not so much.
But, I’m sure that will change as times goes by.
Scott has made a couple of special team plays, as has Reeder.

Depends how much Wade (assuming he’s still around) wants to keep Rapp in that flex LB/S role.
Stands to reason the D will be better either way.
Christian has not played terribly either. He is a bit limited in coverage but has made some plays there as well.

Flex role is for guys who are a liability in coverage but who tackle well and you want them on the field. Rapp is much more than that. His coverage skills are developing very quickly so I have to presume his role will be that ideal in this scheme where he and JJ are both playing deep and short and mixing up looks pre-snap where QBs don't know what to expect.

Having two safeties who can do some coverage, play near the LOS, etc is a very big advantage for a guy like Wade.

True.
Although he seems like an ideal fit for that role.
His tackling ability in particular.

Is anyone aware that Taylor Rapp is #1 in the NFL on Defense in fewest missed tackles way under 2% that is crazy for a rookie.

Unbelievable pickup

As a Husky fan I watched Taylor for years. I was overjoyed when he fell to the Rams. I expected him to be off the board long before the Rams took him at 61. I knew they got a huge steal in him, that he was a first round talent. He fell simply because of a poor 40 time. Anyone watching his film would see his outstanding ability to read plays quickly allows him to play faster than his timed speed.

At his pro day in 2018 he ran in the mid 4.5 range, and he was still suffering from an injury sustained during the 2018 season when he ran in 2019. Regardless we have all seen just how good this guy is. He's showing all pro caliber play at safety. When Johnson returns the Rams will be outstanding at safety.

As Wade knows, you can't simply rely upon test numbers. You need to study his game film to really put things into context. This kid is only going to get better. Weddle can go into retirement next year, and the team would save $4.2 M to use towards extending someone like Fowler or Ramsey.

Agree with all that's been posted on this young man. What I really admire about Mr. Rapp is that he is a classic "form tackler." What I mean by that is that he hits a runner, slides down around the thighs/knees and Rapps them up to the ground.
Very few young players tackle the way this kid does and that is why missed tackles are way up across the league.
Taylor puts on a clinic in proper technique each and every Sunday. Was really charged up to see him get his first pick as a Ram last Sunday.

The first of many to come boys!!

I was saying he reminded me a lot of Harrison Smith of the Vikings after the Rams drafted him. He's as good or better now.

todays rumor is Gurley is in full cowbell mode throughout. My guess is if The Rams loss a couple games that will change back ?
The offensive line ha a Couple holes Todd Gurley missed and his knee will never be 100%.
They say he is at top speed right now though, and The Rams have been smart about his reps.
Henderson will get better.& will be better than the RB out of Tennessee. He has shown promise. Growth, strength, knowledge will help him as he proceeds through his Rams career.
